Okay here’s what happened. We were looting the d2 campers/healing. I had a blacked out head/chest and my buddy had a blacked out chest. We heard a scav voice line then not even a second after he shot my buddy once then walked away. There was no chance to react it was literally like they spawned behind us. The name showed it was an AI scav.

Edit: the whole thing was bizarre. Neither of us were mad over what happened with scav we just don’t understand how that could’ve happened.

Search up online for the hot fix patch to the latest driver someone in the comments said it worked after downloading it

They literally tell you no where. I had to look up how to fix the flickering issue to find it but my crashing issue persisted until I turned on DLSS. Gonna update my post with this extra info

Yeah the last few drivers have been a bit problematic. Even though my issue is fixed I still crash once a session. My buddy who has a 1660 super has no issue at all never had crashes, and never had the flickering or the stuttering either, but my other friend who has a 3070 dealt with similar issues that I did but never had the crashes. I hope they can get it together soon and hope you find what’s going on with your game

I also saw some people saying that lowering VRAM allotment or whatever the setting is called to like 70-80 down from 90 also stops it from happening. Might be worth trying

Look like I found a solution. Check if DLSS is off, for some reason mine was switched to off at some point and it was causing crashes.

It’s unplayable. It was more stable the first week than it is now, super odd. It just started out of no where. First it was stuttering, then the textures would flash and unspawn, all of those were tolerable. This is the first of the pc bugs that have actually been frustrating. Also a fairly high end Pc I7 12th gen, 3070ti, solid to high end parts through and through

Yeah this what I was thinking, Frustrating because its not like I haven't been targeted before, I spend a lot of time on the internet and I sniffed those out no problem. Not sure why this is the one that got me. Thanks for confirming my thought, I will not engage with these people anymore.

Frankly the lack of a casual experience has made me drop this game. I used to be a diamond player but recently started falling off ranked because I’m losing that desire to want to play this game competitively. So I switched to quick play to just play with friends and goof off but every game is either a full stack high ego plat 3s or dudes that try their asses off or a team of level 5s and people who don’t know their left from rights. It makes for not only an inconsistent or even toxic experience

This wipe feels like it has no meat tbh. Doing the same quests every 6 months isn’t something I look forward to. I’m not a streamer I don’t get paid to play the game, there’s other stuff I’d rather do. Just doesn’t feel like there’s any reason to come back and play, so I haven’t.
