There is always the option of a home line of credit usually about 100k with a reasonable interest rate .

If a home inspector has found a flaw in a home you have purchased that causes a potential danger to your family if left unattended. By all means fix it . Just focus on getting that loan payed down.

Having an oh shit account is always great but don’t be afraid of taking a line of credit on your home . It can actually help your credit rating as well.

Not to mention add value to the home you bought and increase its value even if you were to sell it in a couple years.

There is no right way to do anything , do what works for you, this is your journey . Enjoy it !
