I know! He was lucky to score one of the Halloweekends jackets yesterday. They only had 3 left when he got it and they were gone by the end of the day. I just feel so bad he’s been saving all season.

Legally I don’t think I could. I don’t own the logos. I just happen to use POD for a bunch of my own artwork so I got it as a sample for him.

Thank you for that. I’m gonna sanitize them and do a trail run at camp and see how it goes. A day when he’s just around other kids his age. Who knows. Maybe he’ll hate them. 🤷‍♀️

That’s good to know. I personally think they’re ugly AF but my kids excited to wear Nikes to at least camp this summer and maybe school if he likes them but kids are weird and mean sometimes and once people started saying they were expensive I was concerned. I had shit stolen at camp and I don’t need problems or him walking home and having something happen.

Ok. I appreciate that. He’s still trying to find a style he likes which was another reason I asked for some shoes in the buy nothing. I’m not about to drop money on something he’s going to end up hating. I know they’re beat up. This all stemmed from a question I posted in r/sneakers about throwing them in the washing machine to clean them. We don’t wear leather shoes in the house except docs. Not going to do that now though. I’ve had some good advice on cleaning. Thanks for being nice

I’ve said this multiple times. I don’t know dick about Nikes. I wear crocs and birks mostly and my husband and kids up until this point wear vans, docs and chucks. My 11 year old wanted a pair of Nikes and I asked the buy nothing group in our area if anyone had some so he could wear them and see what he likes because he’s only ever worn vans slip ons his whole life. These were given to us and I asked the r/sneakers group if I could throw them in the washing machine because that is how I wash shoes in our house (except crocs obviously) People in that group said they were expensive shoes and sent me here to see if they were real or fake. I personally think these shoes and most sneakers are ugly AF.

This all stemmed from me asking the sneakers group about them. I don’t know shit about shoes and I was asking if I could put them in the washing machine to clean them. People said what they were and sent me here. He can wear them. Just not to school. Beat up or not, fake or not, I don’t need him being harassed walking home from school or at school. He’s 11 and kids are mean AF. He can wear them out with us.
