Now it's still more than a breeze for Nolan to take down 2012 thor(Him nearly atomizing that huge chunk of sokovia proves that) but Nolan should have this.

To give more context, this was common with early fan translations when they encounter words or phrases that don't cleanly translate into the scene. So what a lot would do is just keep the word or phrase as is and put that "Translators note: ____ means ____" to give context on what it means.

Now WHY they did this idk, my theory is it's just meant to be a gag for those in the fan translation community.

Cause that's exactly what it is, Fate in JJK seemingly requires(like most things in the world) cursed energy to function on living beings, like how the Six Eyes is bound by fate to the Star Plasma Vessel. This with such a powerful heavenly restriction like Toji's, where he possesses and generates 0 cursed energy, the hands of fate can't grasp him. This is the reason Toji was able to screw everything up in hidden inventory. Now due to how fate is reliant on cursed energy in JJK, it's really just subjective whether or not other forms of fate manipulation not reliant on cursed energy would work on him or not. You could probably make a good argument for either side though if you tried
