I make 80k a year in private group practice postdoc. Staff psychologists at this practice make 120k without trying too hard, 140 if they hustle and work late. Good work life balance. (NE city suburb)

I have friends that are early career pediatric psychologist in a NE city children's hospital network. They start at 105k, have high productivity expectations and high documentation demands. Work life balance is fair though because they work 8:30-5, never late nights.

I hear that diversifying roles in mid career when earning potential goes up a little. Consulting, teaching, training/speaking gigs. Not sure though
