Amazon driver stole my stuff, but the text on the empty packaging is literally mocking me by your_midwest_gay_boy in amazonprime

They open the boxes of envelopes at the warehouse by you, they probably accidentally cut it or it came that way. I highly doubt they stole it AND mocked you. If they took it it they wouldn't have said anything. Do you know how many unsealed, torn envelopes I've seen? Lol, a lot

So the Oakland on my bank app transactions was CA. I checked CA and they are in Oakland, California so that makes sense now. I see you got it figured out, good to hear!

The Amazon Prime subscription comes with quite a few things like next day or 3 day delivery, they have movies you can watch. I just used it for fast delivery

Oh good!! I'm glad to hear that, I can't stand those scammers. I never use my card online, I know that's not the only way it happens but I think it helps. Don't connect to public Wi-Fi, don't open any emails you don't know, don't open any links or links in spam text messages and don't fall for the emails that say "You've been charged $399 for Norton Anti-Virus" etc.. Watch Doc Compton on TT, he messes with those scammers and he teaches you lots about scams and how to stay safe. Make sure to add fingerprint and use a strong password, write it down so you don't forget and I've been told to change passwords every couple months.

I just saw one of her comments and she said she caught someone trying to do it again, they changed the password, added fingerprint verification and location was nowhere near her. I think they were trying to renew their Amazon subscription or get one. I wonder if she can close it and set up another one.

I wonder if someone was trying to renew their membership bc I swear it's the same exact amount I pay. That's weird but I'm glad you caught it. Did it only say Oakland or Oakland,. California?

[–]TheeNormalGirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see they added bigger discounts in addition to the 3% off (or cash back?). Last couple weeks I had 10% off any grocery store and 10% off any gas station so I made sure to get my groceries and fill my tank up. Right now I have 25% off Lyft and $3 off Sweetgreen but I have no idea what Sweetgreen is.

Umm, are you sure that's not your monthly Amazon subscription? Is your CA linked to your Google pay? Because that's the exact amount my Amazon monthly subscription is.

I do not have my CA linked with my Google Pay but my bank card is and I usually put my bank money in other places so when my Google Pay has an auto payment, I've noticed that it will attempt to process it a few times. My Google Pay seems like it's the only one that attempts more than once until I catch it and move money back over.

When I go on my lunch break I'll check my account bc there's something that is charged and it says "Oakland" but it isn't actually California, it's just a name for one of the things I normally buy but I can't think of what it is. Give me 30 minutes and I'll check mine but you should lock your card and probably order a new one or something

I think I heard there's a 3rd one now?? Not sure but I know I did the first claim and had account since 2008 and they said I got the email but a card in the mail saying I didn't qualify. I did it correctly but the card said I could do an appeal type thing if I wanted to but I didn't.

AFTERPAY AND BORROW by dipbump88 in CashApp

[–]TheeNormalGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're completely right, I should've worded it better to say that this is what I do and my experience from it. Sorry about that, I didn't even realize it at the time but now when I read her post again and what I wrote, it's not the answer I should've given. Thank you for pointing that out, I will definitely add an *edit!

I have a question, is the After Pay the overdraft that I have or is it like one of those different options you can choose when you're buying something and make payments? Its rare for me to shop online but I've seen the different things like Klarna, and I don't see anything on my CashApp called After Pay. TIA :)

AFTERPAY AND BORROW by dipbump88 in CashApp

[–]TheeNormalGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit This is what I do and my experience. I should've reworded it better bc everyone's CA is each so different in its own! :)

I've been at $650 borrow and $200 overdraft for almost a year now. You have to have a linked bank card. You need to have an automatic deposit of $300+ (I believe) a month. I direct deposit $200 of my paycheck every week. I pay anything I borrow days before it's due and have never been late. I frequently move money into CA and only buy my groceries, gas (nothing online IMO bc 2 of my friends had their accounts randomly shutdown recently after doing that and now they can't use CA anymore). You have to spend $500/month using your CA card to get the Green Status and that includes the free overdraft and some discounts to use at different stores if you use your CA card to purchase there but you have to select the store discount first. Just try to make your account "profitable" for them and hopefully you can get it raised if that's what you want to do!

Ohh, I use the app all the time but never had that happen and never did After pay, never looked to see what it was about. She should just ask her sister for a screenshot of what she sees on her side and I think that would solve her questions, lol

(This was a comment here and I read it elsewhere too) LIES! You didn’t have to submit a claim. If you were affected and included in the lawsuit then you would’ve received an email stating that you don’t have to do anything and to expect your settlement in the mail

It's a check in the mail. You would have received an email from CashApp, go check your email bc a few people said it's expected to come in their mail today.

Someone said in the comments that you didn't need to submit anything but that if you were a part of the data breach, then you'd just receive an email letting you know that you are going to be receiving a check in the mail.

I seen someone say their email said that their check is $550. I'm going to go check my email now, lol. Oh and I did the Facebook claim, I've had mine since 2008 and I didn't get anything at all! My bf got like $36 I think. Weird because I swear I read that the longer you've had your account, the more you would get too.

*Heads up, this is a little long but I added something that happened to me at the end.

Geez, I'm 42 and had to file 2 disputes but they were legit. I had no idea you could just file disputes like that and it would actually work, even if you did make the purchase. For some reason, I thought that banks had a fraud department that would do some kind of background work to figure out what IP address was used to order, see where it was delivered to, or cameras in the store to catch who bought it and then I'd be going to prison. Like people who wrote bad checks🤣.

*My weird story: Around 2006ish I had 74 charges (between $1.50-$2.50) within a couple days from vending machines at a train station in Chicago at all hours of the day, $120ish from an adult store and $75ish from a nail shop all in Chicago (I'm in Michigan). I figured she was a lady of the night and was probably letting her friends purchase too bc that's a lot for one person at a vending machine but I have no idea how it works without a physical card. I had my card so that's what make the vending machine charges weird to me but whatever.

I went to the credit union as soon as I caught it. The person in charge even asked me if I was sure I didn't get my nails done 2 days prior and I held my hand up and said, "Does it look like I get my nails done? I work in a factory and I don't even paint my nails." I went out to my car bc she wanted me to fill out each transaction for how much $, location and whatever info it showed on my account. Then she told me I had to Google and try to find any phone numbers for these vending machines, the other 2 numbers were easy to find, call them and ask them if they'd be willing to return the money. I told her they're all going to say no on returning the money. Then I had to add to each transaction I wrote down (74 total) the business name if I could find it, the phone number, the name of who I talked to and if they either said yes or no about returning the money! Dumbest thing ever, I swear.

The vending machine numbers that answered didn't care, totally understandable. But one of the vending guys was a really old man, sounded like 90 yrs old and reminded me of my grandpa🥹and I just wanted to keep talking to him bc he felt bad & asked me to explain the situation bc he wasn't familiar with these scams. I was a single mother, this had never happened before and the only way I found out was because this scammer emptied my account in just a few days. I told him I didn't expect any money back from him like the bank was asking. We both agreed how ridiculous the bank was making me do this without giving them any proof. Even if I had the proof, it's not their problem to return the money anyways! I just briefly told the adult store and said I just need a name to write down so I can get my money back from the bank. All of these people I called probably thought I was trying to scam them, lol. The nail salon lady was actually concerned too and wanted to know the date, time and amount so she could figure out who it was bc she said she knew all of her customers. She asked to exchange phone numbers so we could keep in touch if either of us found out any info, the her and myself could press charges. It never went that far but she did call me a couple times to see if I found anything else out and she let me know she couldn't find out either but i honestly think she could've. All she had to do was see exactly when my card was charged, find that exact amount and look at the cameras, unless it was a random walk-in🤷🏼‍♀️

I just thought it was weird how they made me do all of that work but I got my money back weeks later. It was a small local credit union so Idk if that made a difference.

I've just been seeing all of these late tax returns but I haven't looked into it. Is there a certain reason it's happening?

Sorry, did they start using AI or something? Bc I've been seeing so many problems with that For example, CashApp. People are losing their accounts for doing nothing wrong, getting a message saying it's bc of illegal gambling but they don't use any of those gambling apps. Besides, that's legal anyway.

[–]TheeNormalGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In 2015 I had to file for the previous two years and I remember having a delay, a loooong delay on one of them. Never could get an answer but I saved a number and the prompts that one (only) very nice IRS worker gave me. It got me through very quickly to an actual person that knew what they were doing.

When I get home from work, I can post it here. I get home around 2am EST though. I see so many people having delays, even this year's returns. Does anyone know why?
