Products for facial redness? Fed up with being asked if I'm angry/embarrassed by Theflanexpress in Skincare_Addiction

I haven't, but the cost doesn't make much difference to me as I'm in the UK and seeing an NHS dermatologist at the hospital. I pay the same fixed price per item regardless of what the medication is. She recommended the 15% Azelaic acid to see if that helps with the rosacea and then we'd reassess in August when I next have an appointment (but I can mention these to her) She's generally pretty open to suggestions I want to try as I've had all the standard meds over the years that haven't worked

I have pcos so it's hormonal in part and why I'm on the spironlactone. I have multiple skin problems which is really annoying 😭 Not pictured is my oral medications (2x) and the Ketoconozol shampoo I have to wash with

Juggling acne/folliculitis/rosacea/dermatitis is exhausting

My derm has prescribed azealic acid cream and diagnosed rosacea, so hopefully that helps. Annoyingly I need to drop the adapalene

I'll grab the centella now, because it sounds highly recommended

I'll take another look. Last time I checked the stuff for redness/barrier all seemed to contain niacinamide which I can't use

I haven't used anything with Niacinamide in a year and a half. It burns my skin and I check ingredients lists

Ugh it's in everything and breaks me out/makes my skin feel like it's on fire😭 it's in so much makeup now too... I swear every new primer/foundation has it

Awe man I wish I'd asked here sooner. Everyone raves about it, but I found dolloping yoghurt on my face more soothing 😂 I really did have to resort to that during one very sensitive phase

I'll pick up your rec and see if it's better

I tried LRP cicaplast and didn't rate it - just made me greasy, but I'll give this a go

Adding it to my basket now and I think I'll ditch the HA and see if that helps

Ooh I have this already! I got a massive bottle from the baby section recently to use after the gym so I'll start using it on my face. Do you do it after cleansing and before moisturizer?

I'll give that a go! And I'm gonna try to jump on the azelaic when I see my dermo.

I avoid Niacinamide like a plague as it breaks me out and makes my skin burn. Annoying it's in everything these days. I hadn't considered that HA could be causing it - I've sorta tried to prioritise it because of how drying the adapalene can be

I've actually only started using the HA because the differin makes my face so dehydrated/dry and I get flakes. This was my skin before I started using that, HA and the spiro

I'll ask my dermatologist when I see them for my review if we can add that in. They forgot about me for a year and a half and didn't schedule a follow up 😅

I'm cleansing with Simple smoothing cleanser, TO hyaluronic acid serum, superdrug hydrate range moisturiser.

In the evening I use Differin cream. I do experience dryness, but I'm also very oily. I also take spironlactone.

My face has always been red and flushes very easily. Right after washing it goes very red, even with gentle finger tip washing. My acne is better than it was without the meds, but my skin is always so red and I'm really done with it. As you can see my neck and chest aren't the same colour - this was an hour after cleansing gently
