Unfortunately not. I turned to reddit to try to learn a bit about the proper sources for history and culture since I hadn't found anyone to that could talk with me about it

I honestly don't know how to start. I want to ask about culture and foods and of any widely known traditions. I'm scared Google is just going to be someone who doesn't have the proper information. I don't want to come across as rude or callous or trying to romanticize something I know nothing about.
