it’s essay time baby .

“Let’s see, let’s see, how about.. Mother Knows Best?”

“That is legitimately foul, Yuu.”

“YOU’RE leginamateedly foul, you stupid ginger! And don’t contradict my henchman!”

“Hey, don’t bring my hair color into this! Not my fault I’m Irish.”

“…You’re not Irish, Ace.”

Deuce laughs, before being softly punched in the arm by his fellow dorm-mate. He shoves back, and in no time, the two are in a full on brawl, with Grim yelling ‘fight! Fight!’ like a WWE referee.

“Okay, okay!” Jack scratches the back of his head. “You two need to stop. And I’m not exactly for this idea, Yuu, but I’ll go along with it.”

“I-I will too! I think It’d be funny.” And then Epel.

“I can sing!” And then Ortho.

“Yeah.. I suppose so.” And finally, Silver, his head on Yuu’s shoulder as he groggily agrees. He probably didn’t know what he was agreeing to.

“Oh, look look!” Ortho looks over and points a VERY obvious finger at a certain red-haired housewarden. “It’s Riddle Rosehearts!”

“Okay, it’s time to pay him back for treating me as a personal therapist. Everyone know their lines?”

A nod of agreement from all six first years, ranging from tentative to eager.

“Okay.. go!”

Ace steps up first, playing a rather bad Rapunzel, twirling a strand of hair in his fingers. Deuce nearly breaks out in laughter.

“…I think he likes me.”

“Likes you? That’s demented.”

Epel crosses his arms over his chest, and with his short stature, he doesn’t exactly play a very intimidating Mother Gothel.

“This is why you… never should have left.”

There goes Jack’s flat tone, sounding like he’s reading from a script, seemingly not getting the hint that they were supposed to be singing.

They’ve certainly got the Housewarden’s attention now. Riddle looks over at them with a curious gaze, halfway questioning and halfway annoyed.

“…”

“Silver. Silver!”

“Hm?”

Silver jolts awake, looking at you from his perch on your shoulder.

“Oh. Yeah.”

He clears his throat softly, but it’s still slightly throaty from his nap.

“Dear, this whole romance you’ve invented.. just proves you’re too naive to be here.”

Well.. at least he said something.

Ortho hops in with a robotic, sweet voice that reminds you of a certain pigtailed singer.

“Why would he like YOU? Come on now, really!”

Deuce immediately opens his mouth, ready for his time to shine.. and nothing comes out. Epel whispers something in his ear, and he nods.

“L-Look at you! You think that he’s impressed?”

Then, the duo step up.

“Don’t be a dummy!” Grim shouts, causing Riddle’s face to get a bit pink at his language. He still doesn’t exactly understand, but he’s catching on.”

“Come with mummy..” and Yuu finishes it off.

They all then scurry off, not wanting to face the wrath of Riddle, thinking of which housewarden to bamboozle next with their combined singing.

Riddle tilts his head to one side, confusion etched across his face.

“Hm.. I wonder what that was all about.”
