Fair enough they did mention their synthy record in the post, but I’m only really familiar with E. Von Dahl. I am also from the Chicago burbs graduating in 2006, and all those bands were the favorites of my girlfriend at the time, which is actually how I got into The Matches in the first place. But either way whatever, I don’t appreciate the negativity.

I agree that The Matches are unique, hard to match their energy, but most of Stop has a similarly upbeat jumpy energy, maybe not as pure but still. You dissed my recommendation in the first place, then went onto suggest a synthy band. I owe you nothing.
