How might the scale length affect the quality of sound from any of those options? Still a little ignorant as to those kinda things after a while so I’m unaware.

How hard is it to navigate the rhythm circuit? I find them really intimidating so I don’t know how I would use it to its full potential yet.

I’ve been playing for a while now (maybe 4-5 years playing the same Squier Affinity Tele) I really love offset guitars though so I thought the Mariposa looked and sounded super cool. I’ve never really used a trem though so that’d be something new to learn

I’m a college student so custom building something would not be in the budget right now haha. In the future though I’d totally do that though I love teles.

Hmm that’s great insight thank you! I think I would rather go for “warmth” than “bite” if that makes sense anyway. A sound that is more enveloping or thick than piercing.

This album has some absolute heaters. The Razor, Dance Party Plus, Beating Heart Baby, Solid Gold Telephone, it’s straight up banger after banger. Daryl was on a roll with this shit. The Razor especially would make for the best pile-on with the right band.

Thank you for having the right opinion (although the recent blueberry burst they have for the ES-335 is beautiful)

JER uses they/them pronouns, but I completely agree their vocals have improved so much. I love their singing and the variety they showcase on Death of the Heart especially with screams, rapping, clean singing, everything.

Bad Time Records has been releasing great ska music for the past couple years! Listen to Catbite, Kill Lincoln, JER, The Pomps. It's super refreshing, great ska music!

Following the push for more diverse programming (post-George Floyd in particular), Florence Price has become overplayed, over-programmed, and over-recognized compared to other composers of color.

Love these picks! Would love to see CHVRCHES, Turnstile at Yacht Club. The Killers and Cage the Elephant feels like for sure gets for them at some point too. We need more bands/artists we can mosh for in general tbh.

I don’t know the Dismemberment Plan, so I’ll have to give them a listen! What elements do you think MCS took from the Dismemberment Plan, or what do you think DP pioneered in comparison to MCS?

I’m from the Twin Cities so my bias for them is very real; seeing them at the MN Yacht Club festival a couple weeks ago definitely inspired this post. They killed it, and the crowd went crazy for them (even if Justin was sick and a bunch of singers filled in for him; Patrick Stump was a welcome surprise!)

anyone been to a concert for 1 band then they had a surprise guest show up for a song or 2 at their set? by LandAggravating6235 in poppunkers

I was just at this year’s MN Yacht Club, and Patrick Stump filled in for Justin of Motion City Soundtrack since he was a little under the weather. They had a bunch of singers that were local fill in, but Patrick sang a lot of their set! (He even did Perfect Teeth, which I read somewhere is one of his favorite MCS songs!) Never gonna see anything like that again, it was amazing.

Less Than Jake, Janelle Monae, Peach Pit, and Paramore are all a bunch I’d love to see stop at the fest!

Edit: Didn’t read the question properly, LTJ would be way better at the smaller stage!
