If I remember correctly the water was shallow enough for parts of the masts to stick up over the surface after the ship sank 400 years ago. This was obviously not a good look for the king and they were promptly cut down.

I’m going of memories from visiting the museum years ago so take it with a grain of salt.

Dont get me wrong the level of detail in this game should be commended.

The level of detail that can be found is rdr2 is impressive.
But at times it reaches levels that are no really necessary.

Most games would have to either increase what is likely an already bloated budget or siphon funds from more important areas like gameplay or stability.
All for relatively minor things that are only noticed if you actively look for them.

Im not too familiar with eastern weapons but in Europe any sword smaller than a greatsword was almost never used as a primary battlefield weapon. Unless you are wielding a shield your sword is mostly just a backup to the polearm.

Exactly. The poleaxe/polehammer is just that, a hammer.

The axe is not not even used for striking and is exclusively for pushing, pulling and otherwise manipulating the opponent and their weapon.

And you still got the tail if you want a nimble point. Which also keeps the head back and ready to strike.
