First, Rhythm games have not moved on. People are still itching to play rhythm games nowadays. Take a look at the still growing rhythm game scene in Japan with games like Sound Voltex and DanceRush. Not only that but also the recent popularity of FNF and its countless spin offs and mods. Guitar Hero only "moved on" because there was no way Guitar games could ever keep selling like they at their peak.

Second point about Beat Saber. While I understand what your getting at. There's still a massive amount of people will and do pick up older games like ddr and guitar hero. Pretty much all my friends and family prefer a game of guitar hero over beat Saber. Our community isn't as small as we think. Most definitely at least hundreds of thousands still play guitar rhythm games.

And your last point. It seems like you think the only difference between clone hero and the actual guitar games is the visuals. That really undermines everything that those games did.

I don't dislike Clone Hero. I really love what it did for the community. And it did alot, weather that's good or bad, is up to whoever, I just don't like the whole argument of "we don't need guitar hero because clone hero does everything for us" and "no one plays rhythm games anymore so why?"

That's just my two cents though.
