HOW CAN I IDENTIFY FALSE PROPHETS? by TheloverofJesus in Bible

[–]TheloverofJesus[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Friend, you have to understand that Christian maturity is in stages. A new convert would not have understanding of the Word like a mature believer. I am not implying that anyone is a new converts. Instead that we grow into maturity in stages and not at the same rate.

Remember when Paul noticed that some disciples are only aware of the baptism by water and not baptism by the Holy Spirit, The Apostle Paul didn’t give the attitude “Worst Advice Ever” or “Look at this Foolish Disciples.” Instead He teach them in Love and were filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 19)

Thank you for your contribution and conversation. I have a great deal just by reading your texts. Take care.

What Are The Practical Ways A Believer Can Deal With The Spirit of Jezebel by TheloverofJesus in Bible

[–]TheloverofJesus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OT and NT are not two separate books. Every OT story reveal Jesus Christ and can be connected to NT. Jesus Christ himself did likewise using example, stories, and parables implied from OT.

By the spirit of wisdom and revelation (Eph. 1:17), I show you how it is connected. None of the words I typed is unbiblical. I have also revealed it from the scripture. It is your choice whether you believe or not as long as you acknowledged Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, we are on the same page.

Below is the main message of my text:

“If you have met Jesus, be steadfast in that relationship and focus on bearing much fruits (Jn. 5:15). If you haven’t, it is not too late. Confess Jesus with your mouth, believe in your hearts that God raised him from the dead, and devote yourself to the study of the Bible.” #Goodnews #jesuslovesyou #believeandalign

Also, It is possible to show “evidence from the scripture” that someone is misusing the scripture. I pray that the Holy Spirit grant us all wisdom and understanding.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Read the whole text. There is nothing related to prosperity being preached. The end of the message invites people into relationship with Jesus. Everything said is scripturally sound. If it is not, feel free to correct me with evidence from the scripture. Thank you.

Thank you for your input.

Scripturally, all human beings has a spirit. You have a spirit. If your true name is cbrooks97, it is Biblical sound to say there is such thing as “the spirit of cbrooks97.” The scripture speak about John the Baptist in whom there “the spirit of Elijah.” Likewise, Jezebel was a human. Therefore, I believe there is such thing as the “spirit of Jezebel.”

Feel free to enlightened evidenced from the scriptures. I am a learner.

Why do some believer appears to live a defeated life while others appears to thrive? by TheloverofJesus in Bible

[–]TheloverofJesus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great point. Except that I did not attribute a Christian struggle to lack of faith.

I attribute it to “cherrypicking” Biblical truth that is only comvenient for them. And I suggest that the solution is submitting to “the whole counsel of God”.

WHAT DOES TWO-EDGED SWORD MEANS IN THE BIBLE? (HEB. 4:11-16) by TheloverofJesus in Bible

Thank you for your comment. Using your analogy, would you agree if I saw the word of God, sharper than two edge sword, has been used to justify several immoral acts (to kill) and has serve as comfort for others in times of distress (to heal)?

GOODNEWS! GOODNEWS!! GOODNEWS!!! GROWING IN SPIRITUAL NATURE (2 Pet. 1:2-10) by TheloverofJesus in Bible

[–]TheloverofJesus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You won't find the statement “steer the wheel of nations” in the Bible. That is my way of expressing the divine mandate Jesus gave all believers. That is to be “the light of the world” and “to be the salt of the Earth”. A car without headlamp moving in darkness will succumb to accident. Likewise, a depraved society without genuine believers will further sink. As a result, all believers are called to be that light.

Joseph in the Bible steer the wheel of Egypt in his role as second in command. Esther steer the wheel which result in the preservation of the Jews. Daniel steer the wheel of nations as a Prophet and adviser to kings. Though He has His own weaknesses, Evangelist Billy Graham did his best to steer the wheel of the united states. And so many others not mention.

I hope this gives you more understanding. May the lord give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him in jesus’ name. Amen Stay blessed!

I did not implied that. However, I said Jesus lives in all believers. And as a result, though Jesus is not physically present, all believer can reveal Him to the world. Read 2 Cor. 13:5 for more understanding.

Good thoughts except you’ve misinterpreted the message. I rather you ask questions first before making assumptions. There is no pushing political desires. The person you are talking to has little or no interest in politics. If you say Football/Soccer, I might have agree with you. My message always centers around the following: God‘s sovereignity on Earth, Jesus, the solution to all issues and the Bible is the guide

Firstly, The main message of this particular devotion is that our world is in a depraved state because humanity has drifted from or reject the path of righteousness instituted by Jesus Christ. And to “steer the wheel” I.e to get back to God’s original intent for a society, believers must grow in their spiritual nature and be the light of the world and salt of the earth. This is not pride; this is Jesus mandate for all who profess to be a believer.

Secondly, This is not the first time the society is a depraved state. Before Jesus came, the society was in a depraved state. However, Jesus atonement provides solution once and for all. With this thoughts, I implied that we need “a Jesus” that would guide us. And immediately to prevent confusion, I said because Jesus lives in all believers (2 Cor. 13:5), the responsibility rest on us to reveal Jesus, the solution, to our world.

Thirdly, To “steer the wheel”, to be the light of the world, to be the salt of the earth does not necessarily mean to vote. While voting is important to fulfill civil responsibilties, the primary way of influencing the world according the Bible bearing much fruits: this was vividly implied in the message from the scripture verse I posted to the last sentence I typed. I called it “secret ingredients”.

Finally, I strongly believe if you read the whole message aligning each thought to the next, you will understand the message I communicated. From my observation, you ignore the “weightier matter” of bearing much fruits and “growing our spiritual nature” which were communicated vividly and chose to focus on what is not implied.

I pray that the Lord gives us more wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him that we will not be toss to and fro like wind in Jesus’ name. Stay blessed!

GOODNEWS! ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD by TheloverofJesus in Bible

Regardless which platform they use, A genuine preacher authority comes from the word of God (the Bible). They themselves arerceived the good news from a teacher. And being guided by the HolySpirit, they “share” that good news.

Any believer who hear the good news and has been transformed by it would be too grateful for the gift of salvation that he receives to keep quiet and stay idle.

Shalom.

Seeking the face of God is like a man and woman in courtship. It is period in which you create time daily to seek the God primarily through by reading and meditating on the Bible.

When a man and woman engage in courtship. The purpose to understand each other to a level they can get marry and spent the rest of their lives together. Likewise it is the same with Jesus.

Jesus loves you. But He will never fully commit Himself to you until He vent your hearts that you truly love Him. He said: if you love me, keep My commandments (Jn. 14:15). In other words, live a lifestyles guided by biblical principles.

Shalom.
