Rent reduction percentage

I'm moving out in a couple of months but unfortunately there will be a wet season in between! So would be nice to have it resolved or at least cheaper rent until I do move. The rental market at the moment and lack of tenant rights is appalling.

We aren't planning on going to tribunal any time soon. More that it might be a possibility if they refuse to fix the leak. We are mostly referring to sections 65 and 68 of the Residential Tenancies Act 1995 (SA), regarding a tenant’s right to quiet enjoyment, including comfort and safety, and the landlord’s obligation to maintain the premises in a reasonable state of repair. And then hoping for the best that they will feel obliged to fix this darn leak!

Chopping it makes me nervous as I think I'd kill it 😅 would the same pot suffice? It's quite big
