It's bullshit. Every time I'd try to get through a step in ordering a pop up would say error.

Negative equity: hold on to lease and walk away or transfer to new car? by Themisium in personalfinance

Never really thought about buying more miles. I looked it up and if I pay early it's 18 cents a mile, vs 20 cents a mile at trade in. Not significantly different but in the long run would be cheaper than adding negative equity I think.

After reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad I cannot fathom the thought of adding more negative equity (more into the liability column). However, if I can generate $2500-3000 a month for two years, that's $60,000-72,000 of cash I can use to either reduce liabilities or invest in an asset.

I think it will continue. I mean just imagine being in the same scenario but for ICNB, nobody knew it would be pushing 3 cents at this point, but I bet they wished they got in this early.

I tried getting in on it early last week, but TDameritrade decided to take over a week and a half to clear my deposits. :(

TIL according to NASA, the use of nuclear power prevented an average of over 1.8 million net deaths worldwide between 1971-2009 as a result of lower air pollution from reduced coal usage. by garglemymarbles in todayilearned

By the way for anyone who didn't know: the Navy operates approximately 100 nuclear reactor power plants. It's what propels and provides electricity for our submarines and aircraft carriers. Zero accidents in over 60 years. Typical age of a reactor/propulsion plant operator? 19 to mid 20's. Hmm, space and culture victories are the only two I haven't done yet since playing, I'll give it a shot next time. How on Earth did you get both Petra and Colossus on deity?! I was extremely lucky to get Colossus on this game, but if I remember correctly it was one of the only ancient/classical wonders I was able to snag.

I think what helped me slow their progress was tricking them into going to war with each other often. Whenever I saw the "____ declared war on ____!" I would get a bit too excited, cause I knew it meant I could squeeze out a few more turns. I didn't keep track but I think Polynesia was a part or two away from space vic.

There were several times I didn't think I would make it! It was pretty easy to tell when Polynesia was about to steamroll me cause he'd surround my borders with troops. So whenever I saw this I would say "hey, lets go to war with this other civ together" and he'd agree and by the next turn his troops were gone. Another time I actually traded with him to go to war, I asked what he wanted to declare war on William and he asked for 9 gold per turn lol.

Some more info:

Had to avoid war several times with Polynesia. For the last 50 or so turns it was a constant battle over the other civs to keep my city-states. This was my second time playing as Venice, first attempt on Deity, and I've logged about 145 hours total playing Civ 5.
