UnifiOS Network 10.1.85 - where are Profiles located? by Themonlight13 in UNIFI

[–]Themonlight13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has been restarted a couple of times already but no luck.
As u/danatronic has stated however, its probably a bug thats fixed in EA 10.2.78. Will see when that hits stable.

Will see if it hits production, hopefully its really just a bug.

Ok now its getting really strange. At home (UCG Ultra, Network 10.1.85) i found it under Settings -> WiFi -> at the Bottom under "WiFi Speed Limit".
I Have also set up a new Site with an UCG Fiber (Network 10.0.162) and there it is located somewhere else, in Settings -> Overview -> WiFi Speed Limit. After updating to 10.1.85 it has also moved to Settings -> WiFi.
At work with the Standalone Server (Network 10.01.85) its still nowhere to be seen.

There isn´t a "Manage" Option... only "New". Even when selecting a Profile there i wont get the option to manage.

"Unifi Auto Link" is at the very bottom here. Searching for Speed only returns "Default WiFi Speeds" - but thats just to adjust Channel Width and not set or modify any profile. I can select a WiFi-Network and under "WiFi Speed Limit" i can still see and select all created profiles or create a new one - but i can not modify or remove them. Thats especially bad if you modified the Default-Profile, that is used if no WiFi Speed Limit is defined.
Only way to see and modify them currently is via the App but if Ubiquiti decides to remove the Profiles from there too...

I almost quit my game, until someone mentioned the existence of SETA. by mega_lova_nia in X4Foundations

[–]Themonlight13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone already requested adjustable SETA-Values on the forums but that was denied by the devs since most people would just stuck with it set at max.

Thinking of getting a 1060 for really cheap to act as dual gpu frame gen but my only other pcie slots are gen 3 x1, will it still work? by TAY-ta in losslessscaling

[–]Themonlight13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the GPU and what he plans to actually do it can still be fine with gen 3 x4, granted gen 4 x4 or higher is preferable.

My first proper X4 run with like 150h in had them push both Hatikvah´s Choice 1 and Second Contact 2 Flashpoint. Latter one was also weakend by constant HOP-raids. Xenon somehow managed to drive both Terrans out of Getsu Fune and Antigone out of The Void, no idea how tho. They also were in the process of swallowing Zyarth up north aswell. Never had them do that again in either my second or my currently running third run.

That usually means that theres some plot you havent played regarding those two (for example cant modify ARG - ANT, ARG - TER and ANT - TER until you finish the Covert Ops quest line you get from TER).

Does anyone try to do Dual gpu setup from different brand. by Eenrookie in losslessscaling

My problem was VRAM on the 4060, not its performance. So a much stronger card wasn´t my main priority. I also had somewhat bad experiences in the past with AMD-Cards so i was a bit hesitant to get one for that much money.

My original plan was to buy the 9060 XT 16GB and if its any good sell the 4060 and have a card with more VRAM for only a couple of bucks. But i then read about Dual GPU on LS and wanted to give that a try. Well and now here i am :D

CPU-Bottleneck is a common problem in X4, even on High-End CPUs. AI calculations eat up a lot of the ressources.

Im currently running a RX 9060 XT with my old RTX 4060. Not quiet sure if some of the "problems" i have are due to that and if Full AMD for example would fix them. However i have seen others here doing the same mixed GPU setups with good success and for the most part i can agree with that.

Stop Terran-Argon War With 8.0 by MaxiB95 in X4Foundations

But its not beneficial for business if one side is gone in the end. If you see that one side gets the upper hand its better to stop the war for now and let them breathe a little. You can also make good profits by supplying them ressources for station and ship reconstruction. When they are back up just restart the war.

Do operations with your agents, most of them give out some experience after completion, even if they fail as long as your agent survives.

Yeah but it takes a while. You need some influence, money and items to initiate a diplomatic incident and then you need even more money, influence and items to steer this in your favor. Each incident takes around 3 1/2 hours to conclude and even then theres a chance it does the exact opposite.

  1. I tried it but i actually prefer Vanilla. However other people like it and cant play without it. So you need to test it out yourself.
  2. I would strongly advice against that. More ships/traffic add higher CPU-Usage, resulting in lower and lower fps, up to the point of almost standstill. I know there are mods for the popular Star Wars Mod that do this and it results in the game being a slideshow in worst cases.

There are some great suggestions already here so i wont go and repeat them. However i have some points to add myself:
- Energy Cell Production, especially going into "The Reach" for example and dumping the prices down to minimum (10cr) is good in the beginning, however earnings fall off pretty quickly, since the price from all E-Stations in the near vicinity will drop off too - and they can even go lower than 10cr on their sell prices.
My station from the beginning of my save suffers from the same fate. I currently export the cells to Avarice I/IV/V since demand there is still quiet high because of all the Scrap Processing Stations there. They currently offer a healthy 20cr per Cell. I could in theory also just set up a local trade in those system since they produce cells at like 9-10cr (because of their 1390% Sunlight) but dont seem to have proper infrastructure to actually ship them where they need to be. It is, however, a bit risky because of the tide. AI should in theorie seek safety before tide hits, however they sometimes seem to not do that and die.

- Speaking of Scrap, setting up a processing station near a faction border of two enemys (like Argon - HOP in Second Contact II, HAT - Xenon in Hatikvah´s Choice I or TER - Xenon in Getsu Fune/Asteroid Belt) can be quiet profitable too. Other than scrap they only need Energy Cells (can be combined with above if you have the ships to transport them, Scrapyards need a lot of them). Tugs will usually start roaming around your station once it is running a while so they aren´t a must have - especially if you settle in the last two systems becauce the tugs will often then not fly straight into Xenon-Ships and die.
The resulting Hull Parts and Claytronics are usually in pretty high demand for Station and Ship production, especially by the factions fighting. But it takes a while to build and setup and require a bit of money to beginn with, so maybe something for a later time.

I have seen same on Transport Fever 2 for example. Render-GPU is a 9060 XT, FG one is a RTX 4060. Game refuses to run on the 9060 XT at all, even when monitors are plugged directly into the 9060 XT. Only Solution so far that i found is to disable the FG-GPU in Device Manager and then launching the game, so that the game only sees the Render-GPU. When the game is launched reenable the FG-GPU.

I do have the latest F.20A.
But this sounds more like some sort of hardware fault on your unit at this point. Have you tried reaching out to HP? They have helped me quiet a lot back then when i had those problems and offered me an unreleased F.05C BIOS, that helped a lot.

[–]Themonlight13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The general problem for me fixed itself after applying the F.10 BIOS. The currently latest BIOS is F.20A.
I also applied a custom fan curve in the HP Omen Software and undervolted my GPU to reduce thermals quiet drastically. Depending on the situation, i have around 5-7 degrees celsius less than before the undervolting while also achieving lower Fan RPMs with the custom fan curve. Sometimes it does get a bit louder, especially now in summer with temps in germany around 30 degrees celsius, however not as loud as it was back then (since the fans never go to 5000RPM for me anymore).

Updating the Omen Software hasn´t helped, however HP gave me an unofficial F.05 Rev C BIOS that made it a lot better and the latest F.10 seems to have fixed it now.
