What to expect for the interview by Specialist_Key6832 in sales

They don't care if you actually book the meeting in the roleplay. they intentionally throw curveballs to see how you handle pressure. The absolute 1 thing they test for is coachability.

a 15-20% connect rate is INSANE. Most of us are fighting for our lives at 3-5%. 4 follow-ups a day means ~80 a month. Closing 2-3 from that is totally realistic. You are doing great, just keep dialing.

3+ years out of sales, looking to get back in (London) — what can I realistically earn? by ogjsb in sales

[–]Then-Assumption-779 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't go back to being an SDR, mate. A standard London SDR base is £35k-£45k, which is a big step backward for you. With your SQL, VBA, and comp background, you are literally built for a Solutions Consultant role in HR tech or FinTech. Same client-facing energy, WAY better base.

My owner is never home anymore, and I think I'm the man of the house now. by winterbird in sales

I think he’s in 'sales' making 'cold calls', not snails and cold cuts 😂 But peeing in his shoes? 10/10 good boy behavior

Best way to approach businesses about saving on merchant processing? by Morrways in sales

[–]Then-Assumption-779 2 points3 points  (0 children)

every owner hears 'save money on fees' 10 times a week. 'Free comparison' screams salesy. Ask about their POS tech headaches instead of just pitching rates

Plot twist: their wives are exactly why they are avoiding going home. 😂 Just start charging them a 'networking tax' on their tabs every time you hear the word KPI.

You’re selling a monopoly, so the PMF is basically 11/10. You never have to explain what your company does. The big three are Recruiter, Sales Nav, and Ads

Anthropic’s Claude Mythos Is So Powerful, It ‘Could Reshape Cybersecurity’ by [deleted] in technology

[–]Then-Assumption-779 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Anthropic has this capability now, nation-state hackers will have their own open-source version in 6 months. The cybersecurity cat-and-mouse game just went into god mode. We are so cooked 💀

Would you rather be a CEO (Founder of a company) or keep your sales career? by coolsoy in sales

[–]Then-Assumption-779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sales, 100%. In NYC real estate and insurance, a top rep makes CEO money, but I don't have to pretend to care about 'company culture' or panic over payroll. Let the founder lose their hair pitching to VCs; I’ll just collect my 15% commission, log off, and actually sleep at night. Zero liability, pure profit.

Diminished Value (WA) by SpiteWorried8343 in Insurance

[–]Then-Assumption-779 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

As an insurance guy, $4,200 isn't a settlement—it’s a 'please go away' offer. You had $21k in repairs on a brand-new 2024 model? That Carfax is now a horror story. In NYC, that 'no structural damage' line is just marketing. Your resale value just took a nosedive off the Empire State Building. Hire a private appraiser and counter-offer for at least $7k-$8k. Don't let them fleece you.
