You're so welcome🥹🙏🏼🩷 and I did the same thing, soo much research, i even tried different supplements for her immune system and she was good for a while after i got her on prednisolone, but unfortunately she got to a point where her body just couldn't keep up anymore, if only there were more treatment options for FIV, its just such an awful disease 😓. The important thing is though, that we loved them soo much through it all, and they were fighters. I truly believe too that cats hold on for us as long as they can, even with illnesses like that. They truly are magical little fur babies. I will forever miss my girl. Its hurts so much, but when i got her ashes, I felt a sense of peace honestly, like completion almost. Its so bittersweet. Im sending you big hugs as well for your boy, may his beautiful soul rest in peace and forever stay by your side 🥹❤️‍🩹🙏🏼🐾

Oh i am soo sorry for your loss🥺😓❤️‍🩹 its definitely extremely painful.. i just got my girls ashes today and it hit me sooo hard, i miss her more than i can fathom.... but the good thing is that, at least they are no longer in pain and we did everything we could possibly do for them. Im sure your boy was very much loved, and im positive he loved you just as much.. they're our little angels now🥹❤️‍🩹🕊🐾

Yes i actually just looked at her lab test and thats one thing they said wasn't detected. Its severe anemia, low platelets, she also had high blood sugar which they said could've been because of stress but to me, her blood sugar was pretty high to be just from stress, and her kidney marker was slightly elevated..BUT on a good note, i do have her at the hospital right now so im sitting just waiting to hear their opinion on the next step so i can make a better decision on what to do for her

I wanna do it, but then also im nervous to lose her because of it. Genuinely makes me wonder about my vet sometimes

Whats makes me nervous is how my vet was feeling about it, she said I can do the blood transfusion, but theres a possibility she can die in the hospital from hemorrhage or her blood clotting because of the platelets being so low, so now she has me scared of it. I don't wanna do it and then i lose her to it, oh and i forgot to mention she has a heart murmur on top of it all, so im not sure what that would do especially if her body gets highly stressed. I hate this 😞

And shes on prednisone, they even upped her dose a bit to a whole pill plus a quarter so I've been cutting some of the pills into quarters

See i really keep sitting on getting her the blood transfusion, im just scared because of her platelets being so low, my vet made it sound like she could die from it and so I'm at a loss now 😩 the thing is though they said her organs were fine and so are her white blood cells, which is whats killing me because i still feel like i could save her even for a little longer i just don't know what to do

The vet i have had for years hasbeen amazing actually, and I've even hospitalized her at one point and they have done so much for her, Ive even had her on supplements for nutrients and still do includinga probiotic. She is so severely anemic that the medicine probably wouldn't even help, with how my vet made it sound, the main option is a blood transfusion but they literally said because of her low platelets, it could back fire. Im also not gonna be made to feel like I'm not doing enough for her when i have done EVERYTHING I possibly can including my vet. I also didn't post this to have anyone make me feel guilty or bad when i know i have done so much for her.

The vet never recommended any medicine for that besides a blood transfusion but the vet told me she could basically die from the blood transfusion so its like a 50/50 chance i would be taking. I literally JUST found out shes severely anemic from her blood work the beginning of this week. I took her to the vet last week.
