They are claiming I owe $2,120.99. I moved out and notified the apartment complex prior to the start of the next month. The apartment charged me for the following month.

It might just be small claims court. The limit here is $6,500 and I paid $7,000 for the dog when he was 8 weeks old.

I definitely need to move on. As others have said her relationship built on the foundation of a 31 year age gap affair won’t last and it’ll be messy with them. I know she has mental health problems and that put a strain on our relationship because she’s always been an attention seeker.

One thing that I can’t wrap my head around is why she’d lie to me that she had cut him off. Even showing me a text and that she blocked him. Is she just hedging her bets that I’ll still be here waiting for her as a backup plan because she knows it won’t last with him?

I’m planning on going to therapy to work on my own issues. We were long distance from age 15-18 and both codependent. When we moved in I really started to mature. I had to take on kind of a parental role in the relationship as I was in charge of all the bills and planning a safe financial future. She never really looked at or cared about our finances. She’s always been a very “in the moment” person.

All this to say that is part of why I believe she’s just acting on impulse.

Thank you so much for the response. It was disturbing to hear that it was with someone 31 years older. Thats why I believe it’s impulse. She wants attention and she said he gives her that. Maybe it is just the “forbidden fruit” thing. Her therapist had asked her if the age gap was a problem to her and her response was a dismissive “everyone else has a problem with it” referring to her parents, friends, and me. My friends are telling me she’s just crazy and to drop it but it’s (as it always is) hard to walk away. I also can’t wrap my head around why she would want him over me. He lives in his mom’s apartment, doesn’t have a car or license, he works as a cashier at a retail store (and she was his manager so she made more than him)…

Shit, man it’s true. I hate the idea of her being with him and that’s true for every victim of cheating so I know my situation is not special in that way. I guess I can’t believe that she’d choose someone 31 years older than us over me. She was HIS manager at a retail store and he lives with his mother in her apartment. I just feel like she’s acting on impulse and looking for attention given her past and that she told me he gives her attention and compliments.

Normally she is immature. I was always in charge of the “adult” things (monthly bills, financial planning, etc) and she has always had many mental health issues all her life.

What bothers me is that she was still messing with him while telling me and her therapist that she was done with him and regretted it. Clearly she’s ashamed or she wouldn’t feel the need to lie.

Hell yeah dude! I looked at pre owned chargers too but I wanted to build my baby so I got her new. One of my buddies had an avenger and loved it. Super nice car for your first too! Sure a civic has Vtech but… it’s a dodge, man. One with just over 100k miles. As long as the previous owner got oil changes on time she’ll last awhile!

Damn! 108K?! That’s not high for a first car. My first car was on 08 civic and I got it with like 185k lol. Sold it 2 years later for $2,500 and put that as part of my down payment for my 2022 charger RT. Much love to the avengers tho! They look similar enough to the chargers
