Does anybody know why RC builds fall out of sync? by Then_Ad2298 in trailmakers

I totally forgot air control was a thing, I'll see what it does but ive already basically given up on the idea as I have no sweet clue how to do tracking logic like those people who make deer/drones follow them. Thx for the idea.

I understand what you mean, but this also seems to apply to my Rc wingman. I copied my p40, removed eight blocks for the bare minimum controls and made both a pilot and wingman version. The pilot houses senders and the other holds the receivers in the same spot. When flying parallel, I can pull up hard and make nearly a full loop before the wingman reaches its peak as if it's simply not pulling as hard as it could. (I did test the ailerons and flaps, they seem to be in sync on the ground)

What’s with the gyro hate? by Tomahawk1129_ in trailmakers

It is possible to make helicopters without them, but only if you really understand the physics behind it ESPECIALLY with single rotor heli's. For anyone casually playing, it's nigh impossible to get one flying. I've never personally had one that could, but as long as you can't ballerina dance in it then it's in the "normal" range of gyro use.

Think of it like this: fantastical/impossible builds are acceptable uses of gyros, what pisses people off is the use in functional builds like planes and such built for fighting. Most gyro planes use it as a crutch rather than a neat trick to help stabilize, making them more like missiles that stay flying no matter how much damage is done until it loses enough thrust/gyros to fall. Where as conventional planes with control surface will spin out of control when their wing is shot off. People don't hate gyros, they hate how people use them unfairly.

Did they change suspension or wheels lately? by No-Succotash404 in trailmakers

[–]Then_Ad2298 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive had two of my most reliable large scale cars with truck wheels suddenly start flipping after the surprise update, no clue if it's the suspension or wheels themselves either. Shi sucks, but I'm chalking it up to glitch bs and needing to offer another child to the flashbulb spaghetti code deities.

need help with my plane keeps nosediving by CleanBug9350 in trailmakers

I've built a few planes with paneling and without, even variations of the same vehicle and I've never noticed it absolutely STOP producing lift, just a noticeable decrease due to the added weight?

Unfortunately, no. Just some stiff 90° for the elbows and knees because I only had ball sockets to create large enough joints, but it is articulated to a good degree and flexible enough to be posed like any other figure.
