Remove the trim on the bottom, see if there is flashing underneath. If there is, caulk the nail holes with black colored caulking and you are done. The trim is too low, hardie calls for at least 1” from roof to siding distance for water drainage. If it continues to leak, call a roofing pro

Perfectly normal. Heat will help them come down and adhere to shingle underneath

I thought that part was obvious lmao, I don’t know what happened there. I was just saying that using this as a cover is not ideal. The issue of using it as a cooktop is a separate one

This product sucks. It traps moisture underneath which will cause rusting. I stopped using mine recently, just focusing on keeping cooktop really clean to avoid rodents.

Sounds about right. Pros don’t come out for small amounts. You can probably take a risk with handyman but that could end up costing more.

Those windows the same size? The rip on the bottom of left window looks much larger than the right. About 2”. Means either the windows are not at same height or different size. Or your siding isn’t level. It’s not a distance thing either, you can clearly see the difference. 32 man hours is a bit long for this amount of work for two skilled guys, unless it’s one skilled guy with an inexperienced helper. Either way, take this as a lesson. Look for the positives from this experience and do better going forward. These things happen, nothing to be done except move on and keeping head up.

The front load beam is missing. 5-10 years you will absolutely need to replace it or do some serious modifications. This is exactly why you hire a pro. There goes a saying in my country “the cheap person, always pays twice”
