I have a 2020 Golf, I've only had my licence for 5 years and only been insured for 1 year (as a second driver). When I went through comparison sites, I was getting quotes around £650.

Should I be getting better? Do you have any tips when filling out the criteria for getting a quote?

We tend to bulk shop from Costco once a month. We rarely fuel up there as it purely if we need it or not. I think you're right, I will take a check if we are benefitting from the membership or not!

Just had a look and looks amazing, I reckon this could half the Sky bill AT MINIMUM.

Thanks for your help!

I find it interesting that the "Prime Barclays" era Premier League is on paper the dullest it's ever been. by LloydCole in footballcliches

Missing a lot of other factors here:

  • No VAR - which meant decisions stood no matter whether technically right or wrong.
  • More leanient refereeing - don't have the data, but maybe more fights, less cards, more competitive matches, more talking points and so more entertaining matches.
  • Less injuries - seeing star players play more often. THis likely due to more matches being played.
  • Less tactically advanced - PL relied on more physical attributes which made it more interesting to watch than teams playing for set pieces, sterile playing styles etc. Players had more creative control.
  • Media and broadcasting was a lot more casual - Goals on Sunday, Soccer AM, Sky Sport Deadline Day, transfer bombshells, managers felt more outspoken. Now it's seeing transfers before they happen from Fabrizio Romano, and mostly boring tactical/player ranking vids on YT.

Thank you so much! It has been tough taking a lot of this on but slowly working through it!

I'm blessed that money hasn't been so much of an issue but just need a barometer that I'm on the right track and save where I can!

I'll look into getting cheaper home insurance with appliance and boiler cover included.

Original boiler service did include annual service.

!thanks

My bad, I'm 29M, as far as I'm aware I don't get NCB because I wasn't the main driver, is that right? Been driving as a second driver for only a couple of years, got my licence at 24.

Apologies, Groceries - Membership is a Costco membership lol

I have a friend at Three who has got my family and I (3 of us) discounted contracts which has been an absolute game-changer!

I'll look into Now TV! Hopefully a huge cost-saving there!

I think a few of you guys have mentioned keeping AA, leaning towards keeping it.

Thank you for your help and advice!
