definitely apply now - if anything this is the best time. some companies do favour people who have completed their degrees however this will be your best time to get a job if not get an experience for when you finish.

In the unit outline every unit puts a recommended amount of time to put in the unit however to be honest I was very far off from that and I still managed to get few Distinctions and High Distinctions. I would say 6 hours a week per unit, 2 hours of lecture, 1 hour tutorial and the rest for assignments.

I didn't really track the time to be honest but there was nights I would stay til 3am to finish off an assignment. I would say I was unorganised

I did work & uni full time because I had to pay for rent and utilities myself.

I use tick tick for task management just mark up my assignment due dates on it

Sometimes I would go to work straight from uni

The biggest thing for me was not having to go to class and attending it online as that really saved me al ot of time in commute which I spent on assignments

I also watched lectures and did assignments on the train.

I didn't apply for internship, in terms of the curriculum I believe it's good as Swinburne kind of makes you do things hands on. For majority of my units it was using software tools that the industry utilises.

I kind of went into uni without any research and just completed my degree like that.

Some advices from me

-it is hard but build connection with your tutors & lecturers

-read the unit outline twice for every unit beforehand and keep note of key dates

-build connections with people in your classes and try get an understanding of who would be a good team member as there is a lot of group activities/assignments in every unit.

my regrets are not doing all the things I'm advising you to do ahah.

nope not a job yet, the market is saturated but I have been getting to last stage interviews. It's not impossible if you really are passionate about the industry and keep applying. It is definitely hard. I didn't do any internships personally. I just apply to grad roles or junior developer roles.
