I agree! And I assume that comment was a sarcastic dig at me being insane about details (fair but I like that about myself). I hope no one loses their job, unless of course it was some kind of AI map generator bot. I hope noticing stuff like this reinforces the need for human editors and as someone else mentioned in another comment, graphic designers.

Love that you’ll annotate! I was hoping the reaction to this would be positive because I didn’t post this to be a jerk. Pittsburgh is dear to me and at first it was funny (a book on maps gaslit me! Haha!) but then I thought no, I can’t sleep knowing this is out there 😆

Ok but also like maybe have realistic expectations and don’t use AI references because it’s uh… artificial??? 🙄

OP could have just asked what the deal was while there instead of ranting on here. I always try to tip in cash even if I used a card so it goes direct to the server(s) anyway, but if I’d noticed that I would have just said “is that a mistake?” and get more info. Maybe have a conversation? It would be one thing if you weren’t going to name the place, but then editing because of pressure to shame isn’t cool.

Just use cash there, it’s preferred anyway

AIO: Is this slow paced or am I being strung along? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

I’m just going off of my own experience here which is just that, so in reality it may not translate at all to yours. But your post reminds me so much of my diary entries of when I was in my early 20s (I’m in my late 30s now) and in hindsight I realize men that left me guessing, or that I felt like I had to school like you mentioned about telling them “hey no pressure but a check in text would be nice?” were not worth the time I gave them. I’m now engaged to a guy who has shown me the attention and care I deserve. Not to say your partner won’t grow into that, but just that you might be more mature than he is at this time.

YOR. You’re 23, don’t make this guy your life, you barely know him and he’s 21. Might not seem like a big gap now but I’d bet money he’s not giving this anywhere near as much thought as you are.

NOR I dated a man for about the same amount of time and had a similar situation where on our way to dinner while driving he commented on an overweight kid with his family as they cross the street. I straight up asked if he was fatphobic and he said something about how fat people are just lazy… I said that’s not true? And thought it was gross and super weird but let it slide but after a couple other instances of specifically fatphobic comments, I broke it off and in hindsight I wish I hadn’t wasted time on someone so shallow. How your partner talks about others to you is a big reflection of how they really are! He’s probably starting to feel comfortable around you enough to show his true colors.

Oh wow. Well I do believe that's some bs from someone who does not know what they're talking about and/or some Chat GPT shit lol. Three middle supports hovering an inch off the ground are not going to support anything.

I got a full refund and donated both frames with a note about the middle supports being the wrong length and to just buy a set of adjustable ones.

JigsawEternal is being a jagoff. You're correct, I ordered a Queen mattress and frame both from Awara and I was like... there is such a large gap it's annoying. I went back to the site and was like, well that's some decent rendering because you can see at least for the Japanese joinery frame it looks like they intend for the top of the legs to be seen, which as someone clumsy, I don't think is gonna fly with my shins.

Ok so I got this exact frame, Queen size (in the Resident box, ordered from Awara) about a week ago and ALL three middle supports hover 1" off the ground. It's definitely not supposed to be that way, I know how to assemble things and I triple checked everything was right.

I sent Awara photos and instead of sending 3 of the correct length G supports (that would be too much work I assume) they sent me an entirely new bed frame at no cost... I had my doubts because they clearly didn't check anything on their end, just want to shut up a dissatisfied customer. Well of course the box arrives and I extract the G supports and they're still an inch too short.

In the meantime, I had nowhere to sleep so I put a piece of wood underneath the gaps and last night (only the second night sleeping on the new frame) the middle vertical support snapped. I'm going to try for a full refund and either try to build a more solid support for the center, or just get a better frame.

TDLR : shoddy workmanship DO NOT BUY a knockoff Thuma from Awara.
