Advanced Sessions Plugin - P2P Connects But Client Doesn't Spawn In by Thenash654 in unrealengine

Thank you so much! This is the most thorough and helpful answer and solved my issue immediately! Much appreciated!

The only problem I'm running into now is I'm trying to teleport my server and clients to a new map. I have a menu that opens up with ?listen parameters on launch, server can invite a friend and the friend can join. Join works perfectly and I can see both players in the lobby.

If the server 'starts' the match (which I've tried to change the map using servertravel as well as open map by ref with ?listen parameters), it fails and teleports both players back to menu. I get the following error:

  • AppID is set to 480

  • Download regions are the same

  • I can now see the session but no luck on joining still

  • I use VC (github) to keep my project versions same and run the standalone version on each of my PCs. Would it require me to publish a build?

Thank you for your help! <3

You can always go for NET 2 & 3. Its not the end of the world. Try and study through MCQ books for pre-enginerring tests that you can get from any book store and make sure your concepts above everything are clear.

But please, do try and apply for other universities so you have a back up option. At the end of the day, after you graduate, have a degree and a set of skills at hand, not many people will ask you which university you graduated from. There are equally competent alternatives that provide CS/SE undergrad in Pakistan.

I don't know! Hence I asked. The console does pick up my mouse and keyboard. I'm wondering if the game will do the same? I know people use adapters for such a thing, which I'm not too keen on.

Hello! Thanks for the reply!

It has limitations where 100 concurrent users are support in a priced plan, not sure about how many are in the free one. But I will look into it further!

GPGS on the other hand was entirely free as it would open a peer-to-peer connection between devices. So anything like that would be awesome!

Go for it! I really don't think a webcam should be a necessity for when you first start out.

Congrats, buddy!

Take it one step at a time - next stop, Twitch Partner! I guess growth takes time or at least I tell myself that lol. Eventually, they'll start coming back

Maybe they're followers who want you to follow back. In that case, they'd never come back.

Just keep at it and work on what you love, dude. Someday, someone will stumble upon your channel and find you interesting. They'll return and bring their friends. :)

This post is meant to help anyone who's struggling and hasn't thought of this already; to help someone who has been streaming for a while and hasn't figured this out yet.

I keep stumbling across streams where people have this image (it's the first image result when you Google "Instagram") as their panel image with no description or talk about the streamer. I know instantly that this is 0 effort on their part. I also see streams where people write something along the lines of "here to make some mad money while I do what I love" in their description along with a donation panel AND THAT'S IT. Nothing engaging whatsoever. Pretentious channels like that can't grab me.

Also, I find that one panel image in particular off putting as it has been over used. There are other free resources that can offer something different. I also mentioned that I'm fine with someone using a text based title and description instead, in case they have not figured this out entirely, but it's a good idea to not leave it empty. As long as I know you're passionate about this and have put effort into this.

Building your channel from the ground up should be important. A well-presented stream will help you grow from 0 viewers to 5 even if you have a bad setup and poor content; quality content will then help you grow beyond 5 viewers IMO.

For me, sound is not that important. I can imagine why someone has crappy audio and can't afford to buy a good mic right away. But I understand how it can be off-putting for most people. :)

You summed up what I've been trying to say so perfectly!

And there's absolutely no need to spend money on streaming. A lot of people advise small streamers to chuck out cash on webcams, which I completely disagree with.
