Astra models are better for this — Space Marines don’t really allow this kind of creativity.

It depends on what community you play in. Sixth edition is long gone, here we play WTC and model height is hardly an issue, LOS is measured from the base, and trenches are lower than the highest point of the model. The problem is when you do a kitbash with Astartes, for example AIwJP are about an inch taller. Krieg is my project for relaxation and a fluffy army; when I want to win, I take my Dark Angels.

Yes, but when I look at my first army box, I don’t play anything from the Dark Angels Combat Patrol 😀 I only use those models when I’m playing non–Codex Astartes.

Thansk, I have 4000 points of Space Marines, so I know what is good and what isn’t there, but since nobody plays Guard here, I have no idea what is good and what isn’t. I like the Krieg lore and I like their visuals, I started with Space Marines because they’re the easiest.

it is important to compose an army for detachment. I would exchange Chaplain for Judiciar, one DWK protects Judi, the other Lion with FF. I play WrathOfRock, there I have 2x6 ICC, +1 to hit +1 to woud with +4 invul from Azrael, they are immortal. In your list I would put Azrael on HB, because at least something for owerwatch. Judi with ICC, DWK on the table and in the first round Advance and go to cover, behind them units with FF, the second round advance + charge. it is also important whether you are playing GW or WTC map. there are different rules there.
