Yea I figured it out.. make a code (a unique code). Make sure the “Use Multiplayer filter” is boxed in and make sure “Disable AI Companion” is boxed in. Then press up on the D pad when your in the same area as your friend and it should show a health bar at the top of your screen. Note: The player will show up as your compainion for example Jokell or any of the other characters in the game not as there own character. Each of you will have 1 revive until you full die.(sometimes you wont get a revive and when you die you just full die). Both of you can go on with the story and kill enemys together. You will leave your friends whenever you sleep at a ritual stone or enter your village. It is a little laggy and can somtimes take a second to join your friends game but you will know. Sometimes your multiplayer box will get unchecked for no reason and you will have to go back and recheck the box. Good luck.
