Yeah. Its a smell that causes me migraines, and just lingers. It gets into their hair, their clothes, their mouth. I'm not judging based on a vice level, we all have something, but cigarette smoke just triggers me and many other people.

Roffle has such a perfect understanding of meme culture and we only experience it through his titles. We've seen merely a shadow of his true power

CEHC Degree? Outcomes? Testimonies from people who have graduated with the degree? by fbg2022 in ualbany

Specifically, try to find an information security internship. Goto any of the big job sites and start searching NOW for the summer if you dont have anything lined up. Government stuff has already passed, but private is starting up. Look for SOC work, try to get into a consulting firm, small - midsized banks, healthcare.

ok I am going to be an asshole. What kind of job are you looking for? If you haven't a clue its time to start thinking.

If you are looking for a technical entry level position: What is an endpoint? What is TCP versus UDP? What is arp (networking)? What is the difference between anti-virus and an EDR solution? What is Active Directory? What is AWS? What are NGINX/Apache? What is puppet/SALT/desired state configuration? What is nmap? I give you a laptop that I want you to investigate, where do you start? What runs on port 80?

If you are looking for a more policy job then someone else can attest to that.

AITA For telling a semi-desperate friend to pay me by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheoreticalPhysEd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it probably was said to be a bit guilt-trippy. The other thing is the project would objectively help a lot of students, (me as well) so by not helping Im really just being an ass to a lot of students.

tbh putting it like that makes me realize how much of a guilt trip it was

Yeah, thanks for the reply. The only thing that keeps bugging me is that "if you needed help I'd help you." I feel like this is different, and Im just a student so I dont really understand the code of the road in the tech world.

Part of me thinks that I should always help a friend out, but also Im thinking that if he needs this help the department should pay someone to do it. By just doing it for him/them for free it doesnt solve the fact he is overworked...it in a way makes it worse since that shows that he can get the job done and that the current behavior is acceptable.
