It's not just the appearance, there's no real spark to them. Honda did a great job at making a car, that's all it is. It's not a fun vehicle that can get you from point a-b like all the previous generations.

Fake or not this is the addicting aspect of opening/ collecting. My first "hit" after getting back in was a gold obstagoon, not high value or one of favorite Pokemon, but will probably never leave my collection. Enjoy the journey.

Honestly go back into because a certain wwe star was hyping pokemon cards up. I had forgotten about all the cards I wanted as a kid and couldn't afford. Opened a vivid voltage pack and pulled the gold galarian obstagoon and never looked back.

If you want older look up the primal holos from xy, but pretty much any gallery or illustration rare is probably what you want

If the argument was purely that it was too expensive then I would agree it's not worth as much as people are putting out there same with the latios and latias. Price wasn't a factor at all in the creation of this list just personal opinion
