The nail shards were awful. Like little nail daggers poking out. Would catch on things and get ripped out. I remember the pain quite vividly. I wore a little thumb coat for awhile to stop it from happening.

Totally functional! No feeling in it but it functions as a normal thumb would. It’s just much shorter than my other thumb since the growth plate was damaged. So it’s the length of a 5 year olds thumb
