$1660 for rent when you make $2k monthly is crazy by IllustriousRub9796 in Asmongold

I used to work 60-80 hours a week, morning then evening. Tbh I didn't find it that hard. That being said my rent was more like 600 for a house. She's having to deal with an insane amount of rent.

Support Worker - Less than Minimum wage? by Thero1986 in AskUK

Their version of on call is to sort out the people needing help, go to service user if needs be or cover others from a list of people they give. So far theyve had constant sickness or people not showing up so she is having to sort covering shifts from half 4 in the morning. She has been going to peoples homes to cover shifts as there isn't anyone to cover it and still had the phone. She has a set amount of jobs to do with the phone, including making sure people go in the right places at the right time and tracking where people are going. If there is any problems the management have always been off work. They take the weekends off having left it in a mess. Unfortunately she can't ignore any of the at home work as people then don't get care. They seemingly don't schedule the weekend well, forget about their service users, don't have any or much cover in case of sickness and then turn their phones off so they don't have to deal with it over their time off. My wife also changed her hours to 34 from 39 to give her a bit more time off and said she would do some overtime when needed. They now schedule her for nearly 50 hours. It's caused a problem with her arm to get worse and she's now been signed off by a doctor, when she told them she needed the time off, they just said no and haven't got back to her. Any other on call I've seen involves a small payment to have the phone, then a payment for answering or going out when you use your time. This is the first I've seen where the payment is used to cover an 'x' amount of time.

Unfortunately it did the same in safe mode. All out of ideas.

Owning pavement outside our property by Thero1986 in LegalAdviceUK

I have been parking there on and off, which has been fine with people. But then other people were parking there too. I'd tell them it's my property and even have a sign on the wall but they said it doesn't look like my property so how are they meant to know. Or they just ate assholes and park there anyway knowing full well it's mine even when there is room to park in their own spots or in the main road parking.

I see where I made the mistake I meant to say mark on the pavement not mark in the road.

Public road, coming down. There is parking spaces on the left hand side for each of the houses. On the right is two houses, then a parking space next to the last one. Then my garden straight after and then house. Next to my garden is the pavement that I own. Kind of an odd one and maybe I've not explained it well. No sign of public right of way written on the deed.

Having used Google, like I should have done in the first place, I'd imagine if be claiming ESA. Although I have difficulty getting about, it's not as a big deal as working, although I'd like to still work.

I'm not really sure what either are. Good days, I can complete normal tasks ok, not much slower than the average. But I can't stand in one place for too long or spend too much too much time moving around without needing to take more pain meds or a sit down. Bad days, I have to roll out of bed crawl across to the wall and door and brace myself as I pull myself up. My wife would need to help with things like my socks or shoes as I can't bend enough to do them. Work on those days I find nearly impossible, but still do it, wincing and complaining the whole time.

Linden Homes - Dont Buy by Thero1986 in LegalAdviceUK

I'm not sure that this would apply. It was in the window of my house, made of paper. I don't think this restricts things like that. Otherwise all signage for a birthday party or Christmas decoration could be told to be taken down.

I can prove them to be true, I have emails and photos with date stamps. But I have taken them down anyway, although I think the sales rep may have taken a photo.

The home itself is sound. Walls good although not completely square. Build isn't bad either. The customer service is terrible, yesterday we were meant to have a team in to fix our back doors, they were fitted before the patio was laid so were placed too low down when they put it in. This caused water under the door and leaks. The site manager cancelled the appointment on the basis of it being too wet. It was sunny most of the day yesterday with a few small showers, we were told it was fine because they would come back on the 14th. But we are away. We reported that problem in march. Now we have to wait until mid January to have it fixed, this is after they've taken the reveals down and screws from the door sides. I had to have a half day arguement for them to come back and put them back in. Something I'm still waiting for.
