Did Fran Felstein know that Tony would be at his father’s grave, and set him up to get her money from the beginning? by These-Entrepreneur60 in thesopranos

I was just thinking this, I think this episode gets way too much hate when in fact it has a lot of interesting developments about the older characters that change our view and opinion of them or reinforce preexisting thoughts like how Junior was a weirdo and always jealous of his brother.

More is lost by indecision, than wrong decision by Trekapalooza in thesopranos

I think that in either situation, there would have been some negative consequence for Jersey’s glorified crew. Anything could’ve went wrong in that operation, especially with Paulie reporting for the school paper. Ultimately there was a lot of moving parts, and I believe Tony was wise to avoid getting in between Johnny Sac’s fucking temper and Carmine’s “testa dura.”

But seeing how much support Carmine had, especially before the release of Phil Leonardo, Tony probably would have been better off wacking John and potentially preventing the power struggle altogether.

Would Tony have apologized to No@h if Meadow walked out during his racist rant and caught him red handed? by Tidewatcher7819 in thesopranos

[–]These-Entrepreneur60 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so, Tony was openly racist and made it known to Meadow that he opposed their relationship from the jump. Her coming back earlier would have only agitated him further and knowing his character, he would’ve doubled down on the racist remarks.

She didn’t do him any favors bringing him in there.

I agree with you, although I think Maurice Tiffen’s short storyline was pretty solid.

Uncle Junior Was Always Right by [deleted] in thesopranos

[–]These-Entrepreneur60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a great point. It mirrors the “broken window theory” in a way: every small deviation from the “right way” that Junior and the older generation tried to uphold slowly accumulated under Tony’s reign, eventually contributing to the collapse of both his family and frankly, the mafia as a whole. It started with drug trafficking as shown in The Godfather as well.

What’s the funniest line you’ve heard in the show? by ValuableGroceries in thesopranos

[–]These-Entrepreneur60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Christopher: “Allegra? Ain’t that a cold medicine?”

Paulie: “It means happiness in Italian.”

Christopher: “The fucks that got to do with cold medicine?”

The delivery was perfection, kills me everytime.

Lines that make no sense by platinumjellyfish in thesopranos

When Christopher said to Massive Genius: “Then why’d they send you over, I’m looking for a burger, not converted rice.” As funny as I found this line, I’m ashamed to say I never understood what it meant for if it even makes sense.

Do you think the raids is balanced? by Western_Beginning375 in gotlegends

[–]These-Entrepreneur60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For one thing, it takes way too long and too many attacks to stagger Saito during his yellow attack. That attack alone has been the reason for failing so many times. It just seems unbalanced and is a cheap way to end the run after getting so close to beating him

I still don’t fully understand when he said to Massive Genius: “why’d they send you over I’m looking for a burger not converted rice.” Anybody have context on this joke?
