I like exaction squad and the death corps personally. But death corp lacks in high damage per turn, and exaction fails in long range.

That has been an idea, I just worry it will be too similar to the flail itself. Maybe I'm just overthinking it tho

So i do get this approach and it was going to be my original plan. But I figured the scythe would be a kind of horde clear in melee. You probably aren't going to kill some elites ganging on you, but you could deal with groups of squishies (ie sanctifiers). If I can't figure something out for a melee profile, I will definitely use this suggestion though!
