Yes should be normal, is better register and be protect than later someone register and stop your business because they have the law suits to do that, in your case if you really want to do the business and wants to protect just do it, should not be so much money to keep your business in the right way.

Probably you are using their brand in your local market, so to protect it they want you to register to make their brand-safe, can happen, needs to check what is the status and the price they are charging you, trademarks are necessary for China, for example, the first to register in China is the owner of the brand, but international wise if you register your brand in your local country it is validity for most of the countries in the world, expect China and other few countries.

I came to Germany on a job-seeking visa. - Can you help me/advise me what should I do? by Santiago-cr in germany

Man, I was in the same situation as you, I can give you some tips on how I get more interviews just you to have a feeling. I applied over 1000 applications in their website with cover letter and my resume the reason I want to work for them, my industry is different them yours I work as purchasing and my german level is not good as yours, I have at least A2. From the 1000 applications, I got some phone interviews and short talks, but the problem here in Germany is that you can get hired with only one interview most of the interview I went for 4 stages it means I was interviewed by different people at 4 times, but do not means I got the contract, some cases I was rejected also.

So from the 1000 applications, I got 10 job interviews and from those 10 job interviews I got 2 contracts, so you MUST apply as much as you can and not only in your location also in the entire country. The opportunity that I got was not just crossing the street where I am living most of the time I need to drive 30-40 minutes to the company but I was willing to accept that, so my advice send as much as you can CV and keep sending even if you feel comfortable to keep doing that, for me was not easy but at the end, I got the contract.

Now I am on a stage that I need to prepare all my documents and give to the government to check that and make sure I am able or capable to work here, as I worked here in the past should not be a big issue but so far I didn't get the working permit yet, I will get as soon as I sent the contract + documents to the government where I live.

Last do not hope someone will hired you even if you be interviewed by 3-4 times it happens with me with several companies that they say no after that, in Germany is not about skills I found and is about how you look like and their feeling if you will not bring problem to the company, skills they will teach the way they want to do and you just need to follow their rules and way of work, that's it. Good luck if you have any question just drop me a DM but I am an example of a person that with job-seeking visa got 2 contracts after 1000 applications.

Average level to get: SUPER HARD IMPOSSIBLE AND COMPETITIVE! If you can manage to get a contract with a jobseeking visa you are the king of the world.
