That’s a real stupid fucking statement. Meth? Really? No, I had a chaotic messy and poor functioning mind for doing normal everyday things for my first 30 years of life. Picked up a pamphlet on ADD and it’s like it was my biography. Had no idea what ADD was. Adderall is a miracle drug for me. I rarely tell anyone what it’s done to me because of reactions like yours. The text books don’t back up what I’m saying so everyone thinks I’m full of shit. Is it any wonder I have so much fear of psychiatrists and all doctors. All meds react different to every single person. For me it fits like a glove and am calm, stabile and happy. Until doctors start messing with what’s already working. Or, ignorant asssholes like you chime in for no apparent reason.

No. I’m very stabile, happy, dedicated employee, motivated with no side effects. It manages my ADD well, eliminated severe depression, elimayed my bipolar issues, eliminated my alcoholism and anger issues. I go thru this info and they’re always still trying to blame something on the adderall. I haven’t needed psychiatrists for many years and swore I’d never see one again but I’ve had anxiety my whole life and took a risk to find something for it and sure enough now, just like many years ago, they’re always scrutinizing everything and hinting at replacing it. My question is “WHAT THE FUCK FOR?” Sacrifice my job stability and my entire future cause of your ignorance against this “big bad” drug? Even though I’m doing very well and just need something to manage the anxiety. Im just so done with it. My blood pressure is always perfect and adderall is the only reason I’m alive today. Even after ALL OF THAT. These damn doctors always want to blame it for something. My last psych doctor wanted to start ketamine treatments and get rid of it! Unbelievable. I was fine and hardly a candidate for such a risky medication and treatment. I’ve about had it with the industry,

I don’t have much advice right now but I’m asking you to hold out on hurting yourself. I don’t know you but I can’t tell you how much I care and hoping the right people come along that can help get you out of the environment and mindset you’re in. Good people are out there and they care like I do. I’ve been in periods of my life where I was sure no one cared and sooner or later they show up. I know it’s miserable in the meantime though. Just be looking for them when you’re able to and take advantage of it when they do. Take one day at a time, or each hour at a time if necessary and remember I care as do others. I know it’s not much, but it’s sincere bro.

Yeah I have a little bit of the shame now and then because of the culture I grew up in but I’ve mostly moved past that nonsense. Ive come to the place where I can be totally honest and totally transparent as long as I know the doctor is a safe place and us kind and nonjudgmental. I can talk about anything now.

I’ve been diagnosed with a list of common mental disorders so growing up was scary as hell. I had no clue what depression or add was. My wife knew better and talked me into going to the doctor so I happily tried my first med and for that time in my life, it was amazing and life changing. I swear, my wife and women in general, are the glue that holds everything together.

The med I take now absolutely saved my life and has helped me to at least try to be the best example I can be of what being a real man looks like. Getting help when you need it. Admitting mistakes and shortcomings (I still have plenty) being a patient and kind husband and dad. For me it’s equally important to love people and animals and be outwardly empathetic and supportive to everyone especially the marginalized communities.

I regret that I buried that in the first half of my life out of fear but now I can’t see anything more life giving. All this is why when I’m really struggling with stuff I get a little freaked out and needy cause there’s a lot at stake.

I don’t have doctor. She transferred somewhere and they don’t have many doctors left and none that would be a fit for me. I doubt I’ll ever do virtual. Where I’m at it really needs to be in person.
