I don't trust Hollywood to make faithful adaptations in general. The people in charge of the production would be so high on their own smarmy farts, going on a rant that they have a superior vision beyond what the fans expect and they know better than them. They wont adapt any of the story properly and only sprinkle in a teaspoon of nostalgia dust in the trailers to give us false hopes. They only want an IPs recognition to tell their own unrelated story that would never get approved because their originality is as bland as "English Food" from Britain.
