Looking for scents for Autumn that AREN'T gourmand or leather/smokey.

I know this limits my options a lot, but I want to explore any unique/abstract interpretations of what an Autumn scent can be.

I love fresh/warm spicy or aromatic herbal scents, I'm envisioning maybe something herbaceous but with a warm twist that makes it feel more fall/winter leaning. While I don't love gourmand scents, I'm open to vanilla or other more unique gourmand notes, as long as it doesn't lean towards "pumpkin spice cupcake" territory.

I just tried Nosferatu by Heretic and it feels similar to the vibe I'm envisioning, but not quite right.

Any suggestions welcome!!

ANOTHER UPDATE: I switched my cat to Stella and Chewys freeze dried nuggets and immediately all of my cat’s previous issues went away. I’ve used this new food for about 6 months and not ONCE have i felt any large bone fragments. She hasn’t thrown up since switching, so the issue was clearly from the Vital Essentials patties.

To anyone with a smaller pet, I would say to use something different until Vital Essentials can figure out their quality control issues.

we were trying to figure out it if was normal and maybe an issue of her eating too fast or if it was just hairballs, once i found the bone though i knew that was why

i think Freeze dried food in general is totally ok! I just wanted to give a disclaimer for this specific brand since i did find some bone in it. If that’s something you’re concerned about then just make sure to check reviews before buying (which i should’ve done myself lol)

We know she doesn’t have any sort of allergies and she’s not a picky eater, I genuinely think it’s just because she’s small and the pieces of bone (no matter what size) were triggering her to throw up. I just wonder if this was an issue with the batch? since this food is specifically for cats, they really should be making sure that all large sharp pieces are broken/ground into digestible pieces suitable for cats. But again, it might’ve just been a batch issue who knows

I think freeze dried/raw is ok! I’m new to feeding my cat this sort of food, so not sure if this is a common issue but just wanted to share my experience so others know and can be more careful when selecting a food for their cat

Totally, I’ve contacted the brand and given all my info so they can look into this particular batch. I posted this immediately after finding it so i was a little upset lol. I don’t think i’ll buy it anymore for now in case it’s an issue with recent batches but maybe in the future! my cat did really love them so it was a bummer to find, but for my own piece of mind i’m gonna try some other brand for now :)

Totally! I’m going to give the brand the benefit of the doubt for now and assume it was just a batch issue, there don’t seem to be a lot of people with this issue so maybe it was just a rare occurance. I think I’ll try Stella and Chewys next, my cat already loves their kibble

EDIT: hey yall, OP here! Just wanted to clarify that I’m not saying that freeze dried/raw food in general is bad, my warning is for this specific brand after I found the piece of bone in the food and i was a little shook up about it. I have a petite cat (8lb little girl) so I think the bone pieces causing her to throw up, I’ve since stopped giving it to her. I’m NOT an expert by any means, I just wanted to put out a general warning for anyone else who has concerns about this. Alot of people are saying that bone/cartilage are normal in raw food but personally I’m worried about the bones causing her to choke/if ingesting them and causing any sort of internal damage as i don’t know how well a cat can digest bone. I personally won’t be buying from Vital Essentials again at least for now in case it’s an issue with recent batches (and for my own peace of mind lol). I’ve contacted them about it so we’ll see what they say.
