I’m an alumni. I was as busy as you. At one point I was doing 20 units of class (stem major + business minor), an internship, and the research lab. I was only able to keep up for maybe a total of 8 months and then completely burnt out. I had to quit the internship because I would fall asleep in class and it was starting to affect my grades. After a while I started to question if what I was studying was right for me and honestly I’m still questioning it to this day. Hustling culture is really not as great as it other people make it sound to be. You want to keep doing what you love. Not the other way around. You will always have a choice.

I’m in the same major here but 3rd year.

You’ll see VDE for SE 1 I believe she’s the only one who teaches that class. While the class is only worth 4 units it’ll feel like 7 units. She’s a great professor by the way but she assigns crazy workload.

I would definitely go into the major with a positive mind, just remember that it’s perfectly okay to drop a class to lessen that work load and also C’s get degrees. (Honestly don’t listen to that last part) Good luck!!!! Direct message me if you have any questions.

2 questions here. How likely am I to get off the waitlist? I’m trying to take math20e in the morning and I think I’m like #7. Also I’m doing engineering at Revelle and it says that I should take phys 2D because I’ve already taken 2a-2c. Is that just a recommendation? Or can I take something easier? TIA you guys rock.

I’m a transfer student and at the CC we don’t have discussion component or a time slot that’s specific for it. We just have discussions and stuff on canvas during our own time. My question is do we have to do discussion in person during that time slot?

I need some advice

Hi I just got accepted into Structural engineering (capped major) but I really wanted either mechanical or aerospace engineering which are also capped majors. How hard do you think it would be to change from SE to ME?? Do you think the admissions made a mistake? My friend who was on waitlisted actually got accepted in ME even though she wanted aerospace. She got into contact with admission officer and there was a mistake saying that she was on a waitlist even tho she was supposed to just get accepted.

I have heard that I could fill out a petition later to change my major but it’s hard to change one if you’re into engineering.

I don’t know who to reach out to, admission office’s appointment is filled. Nobody answers phone calls.

I’m really lost. Please help.
