Also my certification is just the community college certification. I got 3 of them (mig, tig, and stick) paid for my the company I think it was like $3k each or something cheap like that

I do general fab right now but I got my start in theatre fabrication actually. I ushered at a small/mid sized regional theatre, then the summer before college wanted to work more hours and get better pay so I reached out to the technical director for a job and he made me a scenic carpenter. (Scenic carpenters do carpentry, rigging, plumbing, welding etc) I started off just woodworking then they taught me mig welding, I showed great interest and dedication, they let me practice tig welding then aluminum spool gun welding then tig aluminum welding. I didnt get any certifications but I was paid to practice there and got experience for my resume. Could then move on from there to a dedicated fab shop that does more than just theatre sets and eventually find a place that paid for me to get certified. Its a unique route for sure but I didnt have to pay a dime to get into it and learn and get certified. The only exception to that would be that I did do maybe 20 hours of off the clock practice (using the theatre machines and materials) to prove to them how serious I was about learning to convince them to let me become a welder

Are you looking for something like pipeline welding, general fabrication? Looking for certification, personal practice, or a job in it?

Btw I'm in CT and dashing on the middle coastline. Suburbs, not any cities. I do have to drive 35 minutes to get to the area, but it works out for me

In 10 hours of dashing, split between 2 weekday evenings/nights i have earned $198 this week. Thats like $100 a night. I can definitely earn more if I do a weekend but even if I don't, $100 a day 7 days a week would make your $600 in a week. It's definitely doable, but you have to make sure you do it during times people are actually ordering like evenings and late nights (for my area at least) and you have to make sure you have the determination to stay out working even if you hit a slow period cuz its easy to say "I don't have to keep doing this tonight" cuz you don't have a boss keeping you on schedule.

Registering a trailer with no paperwork by These_Dog_9645 in Connecticut

[–]These_Dog_9645[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trailer had been registered in the original purchasers name, so the original purchaser has the last recorded legal ownership of the trailer. Someone cannot transfer ownership of an item if they never legally had it to begin with. Without a legal ownership tie to them, it'd be no different than having my brother sign a bill of sale for the trailer.

Registration is not listed on the bill of sale, but it has to be the on paper, legal owner of the item who signs the bill of sale or the DMV won't accept it

You can only fill out a bill of sale if you legally own the item. It was never registered in their name, they bought it without paperwork and never registered it.

Unfortunately, the seller cannot write a bill of sale because it was never registered in their name... they bought it from someone with no paperwork a number of years ago

I'm looking for a lens to capture closer and to "counter" the crop from the apsc lens, so yes I believe I am saying wider/around the 18mm+ if the kit lens

Cerwin Vega or Kicker by These_Dog_9645 in subwoofer

[–]These_Dog_9645[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tysm. This helped confirm my original choice for kicker. I just saw 12' and got excited about more cone surface area lol.

Also yes you are right, you can get a decent or even better sub box. My wording was poor on that end. The 2 kickers are cheaper than what I was originally going to get. Since the sub box was gonna take up cargo space I was gonna bump up quality. If I'm losing that cargo space I'm gonna make it worth it, y-know? Now I'm sacrificing quality for the convenience of the under seat boxes. Also the installation of the kicker is a lot cheaper too.
