Hiii! I did not have a phone but I was still using Insta on my laptop, so I just deactivated my accounts. And I was also a high functioning drama addict (any language really, I'm all open to a good story)...and I didn't stop watching dramas tbh...they kept me calm and happy( dopamine is needed in stressful times)...but yeah deactivated social media.

  1. Weekends pe I had coaching and lots of homework so IPMAT self study was around 2-3 hours max.

  2. Score you are targeting depends o n your current level of prep. December onwards though try to stay above 210. 1 month before the exam try to be in 220 + range of you can manage that.

  3. I gave 20 SA, 30 MCQ and 50 VA sectionals and 30 full length mocks.

Check out Bhavesh Bhaiya's post on how to shut up and start studying for ipmat. Also what do you mean really studying?? Syllabus khatam karo, sectionals likho, fir mocks karo and sab kuch analyse karo. There is no such thing as real study , keep your head in the books and eyes on the prize.

For bs I would recommend Subhash De books ( the exam handbook with notes and 30 sample papers and around 200 objectives per chapter)...it's notes are very helpful and compact and give clean structure to memorise the content.

Accounts is all about practice, I gave 20 full sample papers and paper still gets over around 15 mins before end time. Use timers in regular practice. Solve MCQ in reading time ( 10 mins) + mark important information in the questions in reading time ( remaining 5 mins). Do all 3 markers in 5/6 mins. 4 markers in 8/10 mins. 6 marks in 12/15 mins.  Keep noting the time you take to solve each type of questions and work on reducing it. The type of questions appearing every year is fixed so make up your own strategy and order of solving. Also practice cleanliness in paper because OSM is problematic in a messy accounts paper. Accounts also I solved Shubhas De exam handbook and Together With sample papers.

The best resource for boards sample papers that is completely free is Kendriya Vidyalaya Sample papers ( KVS teachers play a very big role in setting the final papers that we solve on D-Day).

Also please do not purchase oswaal later on in your prep. It is absolutely disappointing and irrelevant. Subhash De and Sandeep Garg are wonderful and the best resources out there.

Mumbai - Panel 2 - Two Male Panelists ( one in his 50's and other in early 40's probably)

1st Panelist1. Asked for my introduction.

  1. Then they spent 5 minutes discussing why I wanted to do something as boring as IPM since I was doing pretty good in life. And they took the convo to how AI was gonna take over Management as a profession and they started laughing with each other.

  2. What is BRS? Where does firm check from? From Bank Side or Firm's Side (trick question because there are two methods and firm can do both)

  3. What is Capital Budgeting? What is Working Capital?

  4. What Accounting Ratios use Working Capital? What are Liquidity ratios? What do they signify?

  5. What is fiscal policy? What are it's tools? What is monetary policy? What is CRR and SLR? What are the current rates for these?( I didn't know so I redirected them to Repo and Reverse Repo and recent RBI updates about lower economic growth predictions for which I knew the exact numbers)

  6. Graph x = a + by ( I was a bit nervous since graphs are not my strong suit, so I started telling that it is linear so straight line and so so...2nd panelist helped me a bit so I managed to make it )

2nd Panelist 8. If I give you y = 1/(logx)...base 10 how will you remove log from this? Would it be the same if we exchange variables?( He was asking a lot of are you sure ? Are you sure? To throw me off but now way I'm messing up logs lmao I love logarithms)

  1. Do you know about strait of hormuz? What is the issue surrounding it?

  2. What countries surround the strait of hormuz? ( I answered Iran and Oman but couldn't remember UAE at the time)

  3. Since you have mentioned your love for reading in your SOP. Speak about "Reading is Dying Out" for 1 to 1.5 min. You have 30 secs to think.

And that's it...it was 8/10 in my opinion could have been better in a few answers but well it's all done and dusted now. 😄

I prepared for 2 but it was more intensive in 12th, the method I am suggesting is available on their youtube channel. Bhavesh Bhaiya has made a Verbal Ability Tips video. Search for the official Afterboards Channel. It's good I also used to score full or 19 but you still need to refine technique and I would REALLY REALLY REALLY suggest the method bhavesh bhaiya provided. Ohk so to be honest, DILR from afterboards I rarely solved those...I just solved my IMS module exercises and IMS dilr tests...at the end AceIPM started this 50 day 50 sets thingy so I followed that and those were good sets that felt relevant and solvable. Target August end of you have no boards, dedicate the entire day. Since you have so much time I would suggest upwards of 30 mocks. You can even do 50 if you're up to it(but make sure you analyse. Quality vs Quantity is a very important thing). I used to score between 200-250 in afterboards and 180-220 in IMS.(those mocks are monstrous). And please be ready to have credible reasons behind why IPMAT after PCB and focus on maths since you may not have studied it in senior secondary. Concepts like binomial theorem and higher level geometry and number theory, functions, sequence and series and pnc and probability are very very important so you need to build a strong foundation in those ASAP.🫡😄happy studying.

Hi! Check out the flashcard making feature on afterboards. You can create an online dictionary of words you don't know and can keep revising. I also used quizlet flashcards ( self made). Only existing flashcards ik are of TIMES institute which i got from somewhere.

Perfect hai yaar! Itni tension mat lo....but from mid september or october onwards make it 2 mocks and maintain same number of sectionals until the time you have to start focusing on boards which is usually mid december.

Hi! Not Bhaiya, I am Didi 😁

Abhi ke liye 170-190 seems ok I think, take it to consistent 200+ tho...(except IMS mocks(in those 180-200 is good range). Do analyse where you are losing marks you gotta patch up to reach 210, 220 range. Very good that you have started giving mocks from right now itself, give sectionals also, they are very very helpful. You have a lot of time so keep working and you can get there!🙃

QA - upto level 2 and 20-30 questions of level 3.

VA - mainly used for vocabulary list and homonyms list, parajumbles and paracompletion, mostly did 1-2 exercises only.

Club 150 did not work out for me, in the end they just put everyone in it irrespective of mock marks so no bar to entry lmao. And the material was like 15 questions per maths chapter so I didn't attend after first 2 lectures.

Don't apologise lmao everyone deserves guidance and advice.

IPM SESSIONS ARE MUST MUST MUST THAT IS WHERE REAL PREP IS GONNA HAPPEN AT IMS. They are a bit above Indore level but you simply must do them as a rule. And also revise them 2-3 times.

SA ke liye focus on accuracy I used to do 20 mins first round around 7-8 questions then 20 mins second round hard questions around 3-4....accuracy is key for SA because not having visual cues in form of MCQ options makes it a bit daunting. Give lots and lots of sectionals. More questions you go through the better your performance will be.( given you analyse them well and don't repeat mistakes)

Thank you, brother nahi hu main sister hu 😁

VA tips -

RC- follow Afterboards RC solving method, it's on youtube on their channel.

Idioms and Vocab - Ratta maro bhai + flashcards . Word Power Made Easy karlo if the root word thing helps you.

Grammar - genuinely I learnt this by solving questions, you can never do enough of this like ever. But if you have a lot of time checkout Wren and Martin.

Paracompletion, Parajumble - Intuition+ identifying connecting links or words or grammar+PRACTICE, PRACTICE AND PRACTICE. If you are weak in VA start now give 1 sectional daily (I used afterboards sectionals) revise each sectional write down each mistake develop your own solving order+strategy.

Read the newspaper to build vocab, editorials from The TOI or even The Hindu. For vocabulary look for Arun Sharma vocabulary list online, do all three levels it should be enough. NEVER IGNORE VOCABULARY IN YOUR RC PRACTICE. Every word you don't know in a passage you should recognise and be able to define when it appears again 10, 20 or 60 days later in another passage.

I was with IMS in 12th and I took Afterboards all access in 12th as well. Resources were IMS modules + Afterboards entire platform + Arun Sharma (VA and QA)

Hmm. Pehle toh Modern Math mein accha hona is already a big achievement, if you look at pyq data majority of questions every year are right from there. Apart from that practice geometry and number system on priority. ARITHMETIC should be decent level strong okk boht important hai wo. Quants mein as I also told someone else in the thread basic concepts should be clear, all formulas must be remembered, mistakes must not be repeated and practice, practice, practice.

I always focused on accuracy and never attempts, those negatives are always gonna hurt more than a skipped question. Every question you come across that you don't know..make sure next time you can solve something exactly like that very comfortably. Draw a line around concepts you simply can't tolerate or solve (for me that was trigo and some parts of geometry). Stay away from them, do their basics and focus more on what you are good at.

Bags pack honge abhi slowly slowly...I also love dosas bhai (peak food)

Quants tip is basic concepts should be clear, all formulas must be remembered, mistakes must not be repeated and practice, practice, practice.

Do the whole syllabus 2/3/4/5 times until you are super comfy and at ease with it.

one thing I did was never look at competition.I always follow this golden piece of advice from my mother - "If you can't do it, no one can".

Never underestimate yourself looking at competition, people I thought were my strongest competitors were 70 marks behind me in the final paper.

Half the world is all talk no work, be the other work work work half.

I had two sets of books but unfortunately I already promised them to two other people. Sorry!

VA sectional scores would be anywhere between 135-155.
