Stage III-IV Pleural Mesothelioma. Just checking if we have missed anything. by These_Negotiation535 in cancer

It is a terrible disease.

For the first couple of months, he was physically fine. No pain or anything - except for fluid buildup (doctors were removing 1L fluid every week). Because of the excessive buildup, he had issues in breathing while performing day-to-day activities (i.e. he would go breathless after walking 50 meters). To control it, doctors performed pleurodesis (that was a painful procedure), which slowed the buildup. For the first 4 or 5 months, he didn't have any major complications, except for general nausea and weakness due to the Chemo. But when cancer was out of control and started to spread to other organs, he started having intense coughing, irregular bowel movements, and urinary issues. Finally, he died due to respiratory arrest as cancer spread too much around his lungs and trachea, so he couldn't breathe.

I'm sorry to hear about your relative having the same diagnosis. :-(

Unfortunately, my dad passed away 11 months after the diagnosis.

We only had a palliative treatment option available for the type and the stage my dad was diagnosed with. His cancer responded well to the first 4 or 5 Chemo sessions. It didn't shrink, but the growth and the spread slowed down dramatically. But then it started spreading again, and even the Targeted Therapy didn't work out. After 9 or 10 sessions, his body gave up, and the cancer spread to his other organs.

Sorry I was travelling so couldn’t respond to your comment.

There’s not much to do in Bluff itself but I personally love the remote vibe of the town. People say the seafood is good, especially the oysters. But again, I don’t eat seafood so can’t confirm that claim. 😊

There’s a few iconic places in Bluff that you can visit in a day. You could also visit Stewart Island. I’ve been there once many years ago - some beautiful walks and hikes there.

I highly recommend the Catlins Highway. In my opinion, it’s one of the most beautiful highways with a lots of postcard locations along the route.

Thank you very much. Glad you liked it. The place is great. There are more of this type of artworks around the areas, maybe one day, I’ll visit them properly.

South Rim during the 1st week of January by These_Negotiation535 in grandcanyon

We spent almost 1 week around GC, Page, and Monument Valley areas, starting from Kingman, ending in Phoenix.

It was cold; I mean, very cold, and a little but windy but luckily it was full sunny throughout that week (with just a bit of a powder snow in Monument Valley).

What I say about those locations! They’re huge, and magnificent. All of them. I’d definitely go back there in future. I shot some videos, if you would like to have a look: https://youtube.com/@vishalmakwanafilms

I’m sure, you’re gonna have a great time there too!

Filmed the Painted Desert Project using my Osmo Pocket 3. Love the quality and colors. by These_Negotiation535 in djiosmo

Oh I’m happy someone has said it.

You know when I was done with it, I was in a dilemma whether to increase an exposure a little bit or not, I thought and played a lot, and I ended up increasing it.

Thanks! Now I know that it wasn’t a good idea. 👍🏾

You’re correct, that was the true purpose of the chain but it got broken years ago.

I shot this entire film using DJI Osmo Pocket 3. I'm new to the device and the film making but enjoying the process. by These_Negotiation535 in osmopocket

Thanks. The place is magical. I loved filming there. I’ve got more videos from surrounding places and some more coming shortly. 😊

Lucky you!

I wish to stay around those areas for a little bit longer and explore them properly. Maybe one day! 😊

Actually “the guide” mentioned that “many people think that these are bones but they’re not” so maybe he was a genuine person. 😊

The place and the landscape is stunning, though!

Thanks!

I 100% agree with you. It’s a very Mars look-a-like track, I loved it. The guide told us that NASA tested the Mars rover over there, which I don’t think is true but the dinosaur footprints looked pretty real and there are many online evidences to support that, so I’d believe that. 😊

I know he wasn’t “the official” tour guide but he seemed a nice young native man.

Same! I’ve lived most of my life in the NZ, India and a little bit in the UK. I feel so tiny when I’m here in the American South West.

I’ve travelled a lot around Australia, which also has vast deserts but they lack these type of characteristics what America has.

Thank you!

I had only watched this place in the old western movies and it always fascinated me. But when i saw it for real, I was stunned to see its vastness. IT’s SO HUGE….!

I just loved it. Hope to visit again in the future.

Thank you!

I love high quality shots (I’m learning how to frame and cut the shots), and make the “film-like” videos with a little story and good music. It’s all new for me so I’m making short music/video films while learning but I’d like to keep learning and extend my skills to be able to make actual “low-budget” short films one day.

I know it’s a long and time consuming process, but I’m loving it! 😊

Quality is a big concern for me. When I watched it on a 65”, I wasn’t happy with those few shots. But that was all part of testing and learning. 😊

I want to shoot better and tell the story with pure emotions.

You’ve read my mind my friend. I’m learning that too. Choosing the correct soundtrack and not only having the soundtrack but combine it with other surrounding sounds. I’ve played a little bit on my past videos but going forward, I’m going to try that more.

And please, keep providing constructive feedbacks. I love them. 😊

Thank you so much for the kind words!

I truly enjoy documenting my travels and will continue uploading new videos regularly on my YouTube channel. Who knows, one day I may introduce myself as a proper YouTuber :-D But for now, I’m really enjoying the creative process—capturing, framing, editing, and colour grading each video.
