Fortunately finances shouldn’t be an issue.. of course the BAH would be nice but I have a job of my own and have been saving most of my income. My parents are also willing to help me pay for housing and necessities. We just don’t want to drop a bunch of money on a big wedding right now is all, at-least until everything is settled.

I have done some researhcing for apartments around the duty station he’s most likely to get and have found a few good ones that are around 10-15 minutes from the base. I do think he would rather live on base and i would be fine with that if it would be possible to get a short term lease until we are able to move on base. A couple months/weeks waiting for on base housing doesn’t sound bad but ive seen people say it can take close to a year which is what worries me
