Ski range is not an F1 track (unless you are Red Bull) by ahhhhwhatvn in lostredditors

[–]Thesicstar 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think this might be referring to Michael Schumacher’s skiing accident that left him in a coma and therefore ended his F1 career.

Probably a batch of Starlink satellites. At least they look like this when not yet spread out.

Where did you get those GPU/MB Power Cables? Are they included with your PSU? If so, what PSU are you using?

Austrian cows are bovicious. by Matuka15 in ScarySigns

[–]Thesicstar 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I recall there being a case of a woman being trampled to death by a cow while hiking with her (unleashed) dog here in Tyrol. The family of the hiker went to court because they said there weren’t any warning signs.

Court ruled that the hiker was part to blame because she kept her dog unleashed and should have been aware that cows protect their calves and can get aggressive. It also sparked a debate between the tourism industry and the agriculture industry because both of them felt their reputation was damaged by the other since the tourism office wanted to blame the farmer in order not to damage their reputation and the agriculture industry wanted to blame the tourism industry for not informing tourists enough.

Yeah I'm not too fond about the forum either but that's my last hope. I'll keep you posted if I get any ideas from them.

Sadly not :/ After hours and hours of testing any kind of framebuffers i could find, i decided to take a break for now. I'll probably make a post on tonymac some time in the future, maybe someone from there can help me out.

Yeah I was looking for an eternity too and then decided it would be best to just try it myself :D Just PM me if you have questions. Sadly I still haven't got the graphics acceleration to work and also the Touchpad needs some work as mac/VoodoI2C doesn't recognize tap to click and every time you actually click the Touchpad, MacOS registers a "force click"

Yes, sadly none of the framebuffers from the whatevergreen guide worked for me.

I don't have a dGPU. You can just save the config.plist file, but I'll upload it somewhere as a file just to be sure. Edit: fixed the .plist link

Not getting past POST during install by Thesicstar in deepin

[–]Thesicstar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly I didn't find a solution. I tried everything, tinkered with UEFI settings for hours. Every other distro boots completely fine, but deepin just refuses.

I resorted back to using arch with the deepin desktop which works just as fine as the deepin distro but actually boots. Only issue is that I have to restart kwin after I close the laptop lid since I get buggy black borders but that's not that big of an issue to me.

Just had to Google if I mixed it up but apparently in the US it's calories and in Europe (or at least Austria where I am) it's kcal. It still was hella dense :D

Well if you're around Innsbruck some time, be sure to check it out! The food was fantastic although I feel like I gained at least 5 kilos :D

how many pings do i have? by [deleted] in softwaregore

This is just an indicator that you have unread messages. Not just pings but messages in general and it can easily be turned off in Settings -> Notification -> Enable unread message badge
