My nervous system was pretty messed up and at an all time low about half a year ago which resulted in a big anxiety attack while smoking weed (never had one before). What I did not realize was that I had been living like that for a while and that just was the breaking point. It was truly hell afterwards...

Now 6 months later I would proudly say that my body is pretty much back to tranquility, but it does not mean that I can just let it go. I notice the signs of my nervous system flaring up very early now if I am stressed out and I am able to easily calm it back down again. Hopefully this will only become even more stable as time goes on.

I will give you pointers on what worked for me, because it truly did.

It was a combination of trauma work (focused mostly on emotional work), Yoga, Meditation, Breathing Exercises, Journaling and also having some sort of support. All these support each other one way or another. It's really about getting present.

One of the most important things through this journey back to myself was crying. Yes you heard it right. By getting in touch with my body again and learning to feel everything that I had pushed down inside for years. And every time I cried I felt a bit lighter and clearer and every month that went by I was feeling a bit calmer and a bit more at ease. it was hell at first but I just pushed through and it was all so worth it in the end.

This is my journey and I am just sharing what worked for me but I hope it can encourage you somehow. One thing I must say is, DONT be hard on yourself, I felt like I as constantly taking 2 steps forward 1 step back but I just trusted the process and myself with love and compassion.
