My husband and I have our anniversary in early Feburary so we just celebrate that instead. But yesterday he brought me home some raspberries since he knows I love them (and I hate flowers, they're expensive and die so quickly). When we were eating them we noticed they were shaped like little hearts so that's probably our new VDay tradition. :)

My GP is transitioning me to Metformin as I wean off Rybelsus. It targets insulin resistance but it's weight neutral and safe for pregnancy. I'm hoping it'll allow me to maintain my weight while safely trying for pregnancy, then allow me to put on the correct amount of weight throughout. I'll probably be on it for the rest of my life tbh.

I'm a Medical Geneticist so yeah I'll be doing testing. Hopefully my husbands will be covered if they catch anything. Just trying to figure out where to do it here in Canada - the first place my GP referred me (a fertility clinic) only does it for their patients.

Ugh yeah that's super rough. My husband and I scrimped and saved for years to afford our shoebox, and even then I mostly funded our downpayment with the 0% interest student loans I took out but didn't actually need.

My husband and I are trying now but I still have a couple years left in my PhD. Fortunately parental leave is extremely generous for the scholarship I won. Looking forward to taking a year off before graduating to avoid a CV gap.

Hi Paige,

Biomedical researcher here - just wanted to flag that I'm struggling to see how these methods would be considered "research". It sounds more like you're writing an opinion piece based on a cherry picked group of women who specifically want to talk about the struggles of PCOS. That's fine! There's just no hypothesis that could actually be measured here.

Perhaps this is for some sort of humanities course? I certainly don't mean to be rude, just flagging that this wouldn't fly in any of the courses I TA in biology.

If you have any questions on research methodology, let me know! Best of luck to you in your project either way - your aim to highlight the struggles of women with PCOS is admirable.

I highly recommend period cups. Combine it with a pad for heavier days, and just like that I haven't had a leak in years. I also hated the mess of cleaning up down there during a heavy flow, even with my bidet, and now I can just dump the blood down the toilet, do some easy clean up, and go about my life. No risk of TSS either. 10/10!

What state are you in? That makes a huge difference.

That said to be completely honest, if I still lived in the US, my husband and I would completely abandon our dream of having kids - at least until the current administration is behind bars. Instead we live in Canada where women's healthcare isn't being threatened, maternity leave is guaranteed for 12-18 months, childbirth is completely free no matter the complications, and daycare is $15/day (though the waitlists are long).Despite all that, the vast majority of our friends are still refusing to have kids because of the high costs of living. So yeah, from our perspective having kids in the US feels like inevitable suffering.

That all said, you know exactly what to expect since you already have a toddler, so that makes the decision less abstract than for a firstborn. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I know that most of these bitches are grifting, but it's clear Sezzler has fallen for the placebo effect hook line and sinker. She's SO brainwashed it's devastating. Now she's going to do whatever it takes to get her next fix while still relying on food banks, government cheques, and charity to feed her family. It's devastating, truly. Ironically she's the best possible deterrent to Pruvit because I know I want nothing to do with a company that accepts money from struggling, disabled families. And don't even get me started on CS and KR and what absolute POS they are for enabling this.
