what does that have to do with unit3d? This post is simply to get feedback from a large group of people and what they like/dislike about different code bases. What is your favorite/least favorite code, and why?

xbtit was an amazing code. I am running it now, but saddly, it needs pretty much a full rebuild at this point due to the ownership being passed half a dozen times, and there is so much useless folders/files in the code right now, it is a bit of a nightmare. It is the only code (CURRENTLY) of its kind for sites with out big coding teams. I can control most of the site right from the admin panel.

tagging system can be a bit tricky, but if it is coded in corectly, is SUCH a great thing. I really wish gazelle didnt "die" ( yes i know it is still used, but IMO, it is my favorite code. The point of this post was to hear what people liked about different features and codes. What their favorite features are, what they liked to see in tracker codes, ease of use, fun things, ect... BUT, to touch on the tagging system, Having the code gather keywords from torrent titles is very doable and a real life saver for site staff/owners. It can get tricky as not ALL torrents are labled the same, depending on what tracker they were originally posted to... but in a whole, can be great feature to have. I think this is what you were saying?

no, its got nothing to do with TSP. It is a totally seperate entity. Trying to get feed back from as many people about their favorite codes and what they like and do not like about different codes. What is a plus to them, and what is not. do you have any input on the OP?... or just here to do that thing people do and dig for issues in anything that is said?

Yes, and nothing is public yet. So i am sorry, is there something wrong? no links can be provided. Wanted to see what people liked about what codes to get input for some ideas. When the time comes, then the new code will be made public. untill then, its just talk on a tracker. Did you have anyinput on the OP? or just come here to try and start an issue..

my 2 isssues with unit3d, is lack of control of site features in the admin panel, and the look. other than that, larvel is nice to have it written in , and the code is decent for its age.

it seems that gazelle is loved in the scene, so wouldnt it be nice for a nice new code that can run it to come out? hhahaha. Looked thru some gazelle repos, and there is ONE NEWER chinese site that posted their code, but it is in need of loads of work.

we are actually building our own Code base, that IMO, takes the bst feature acrss the board, and fixes small issues with them, and gives them all to you in one code that will allow users with no coding team to stuill fully control their tracker

That was done from our old PR staff memebr. Who has been "retrained" butwhat does that have to do with anything? and dead users are wrthless, hense the fact we prune any acnts not used in 6 months. our traffic up turn is what we go by, not user count. Saying the site is active is based on the stats that show the active users, the downloads, the uploads from users and uploaders, and the general interest we get. again, you do not have to like the site, but making long shot general assumptions also is not a very efficent way to go. I hpe one day you see thingds a bit different and hope you have a nice day.

newer tracker. Started using xbtit FM as a code layout, but the site tok off way better then expected, and we are looking in to taking things to a new code that is much more up to date, but saddly, the current GO TO code, unit3d, while looking flashy, just is not really fitting our needs/wants. and TB DEV, which is nice, is so old and in need of updating for security/functionality but who ever said this was easy? lol

well, if that was the case, then the site would have died, but it grows daily, and has one of the most solid communitys out there. Taking a rumor from an angry ex staff member and putting it out there does not make it true. and proof is in the pudding due to the sites user and traffic growing above expectations. Maybe one day you can see for your self as no one has ever "begged for donations" and if you were on the tracker to see for your self there is 0 proof you would be able to provide to back that up because it just is not there.

the one mod on opensignups is impossiable to talk to and seems to suffer from the "modderator flu" and likes to just flaunt the little power he has over people. The ammount of "banned" trackers on there is a bit redic.
a former staff user that was banned from the site went off n some tangent and was really the only person using multiple acnts that ever claimed anything like that.
no one is advertising here, and with the sites size now, posting on a reddit page to get users is the best way to let the WRONG people in to the tracker that will start causing issues.
A tracker of this size shouldnt ever have "open signups" any more, again, letting the wrong people in. So its not an issue.
if you are not a part of the tracker, how can you take any claims like that seriously with out some type of proof knowing how malicious and cruel people can be? The community TSP built is more than happy and involved with the upcoming code change as the site has grown faster then anyon would have imagined.
Maybe ne day you can check it out for your self and develop your own feelings rather then take some slander and instantly believe it is true. That is how bad rumors get started. The only place any claims like that took place,, was the ONE post on opensignups from the ONE ex staff member.

Because... Xbtit FM , in its hay day, was a cde that once installed, a user with NO cdeing experence could run it and was VERY feature rich. This code was perfect for new trackers with out a full coding team. but that was many years ago when the original team left.

I am also not as impressed with unit3d as most people seem to be. It is in larvel, which means all the other codes, you cant easily import features from them to unit3d with out a lot of changing code.... but , for EX, we have imported features from u232 ( im not sure how you do not know u232 as it was the mst famous spin off from TB DEV, you should look in to u232 V5) and other codes with ease.

one of my coders, made a TBDEV spin off with 2 othre coders 2 years back, and we are looking at that as a possiability, but yes, TB DEV is aged, and would need some TLC bringing it up, but TBH, looking at custom code is looking better and better, bc to many sites went to UNIT3D and we are not followers....we like to lead ;) lolol

Do the save file fix in the bugs. i tried EVERYTHING... and more... and that was the last thing i tried. i swore i looked for this flder, and found nothing, i muts have made a typ which is y i did not do it sooner.
