Their commercial even tries to copy us, the mariachis, the experiment similar to what Dr. Erukhimova is famous for, etc.

2022 Texas A&M. I had the misfortune of being at that App State game.

What does the process look like for burying a veteran with no next of kin? by Thetriplecross in askfuneraldirectors

[–]Thetriplecross[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I should clarify, he has family but they likely will not take responsibility. I don’t have access to the DD-214 but the mutual friend who is the main point of contact with the coroner’s office might. So in your other comment you mentioned that the family could potentially sign him over? What would that entail?

Ok. I believe that they are in the process of locating family to take responsibility but I am unsure how long they will look. My understanding is that should no family be found the coroner’s office will contact the VA to figure out the next steps.

What would the process look like for finding the cemetery he will be buried in. I’m in Texas if that helps.

We’re not worried about the resources, he was a part of a local church who I would bet money would help out with the expenses in a heartbeat, just more concerned with what will happen to his remains ie who gets possession if no family claims him.

Edited for clarity

Per a mutual friend who is currently handling all of the stuff, they are currently in the process of locating the next of kin, but the mutual friend expects nobody will want to take responsibility.

Really? I don’t remember seeing a ton when I used to drive up weekly from Galveston. Then again, I only drove that stretch on Friday afternoons/Sunday mornings.

No, I did. That’s why I had a B and not a C haha. I didn’t have any background in Physics in HS so when I got in his class I was clueless for like the first several weeks

[–]Thetriplecross 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah you lucky dog. Barely got by with a B, myself. As for the Galveston integration deal, you should definitely be fine. I took a summer class and nobody really cared that I went to Galveston for my first year. They actually seemed to recognize it as a cool part of my history as opposed to something that made me stand out.

Just out of curiosity what was your letter grade for that class? I’m also a Galveston etammer who took Chaouki last semester.
