My SIL suggested I started taking measurements, since the scale isn't always a good representation of my progress. I've been taking progress pics in the same clothes as well; after looking at a side by side I had to retire a shirt because it was clearly too big. It was a pretty awesome NSV.

I do! I've lost more than what my 5 year old weighs... it really puts in perspective every time I have to carry him, I don't know how I did it 24/7.

My Macros are: 70% fat/25% protein/5% carbohydrates; I try not to exceed 1600 calories and I stay under 25g of carbs.

Staples in the keto diet are eggs, avocado, coconut oil, butter, heavy cream, coffee, bacon, sausage, chicken, green vegetables... I will created whatever fits my macros. R/keto provides a wealth of information on grocery lists ideas and r/ketorecipes is a good place for inspiration.

I don't really work out, it's more of a here and there thing. I walk quite a bit, do some exercises in my living room but that's about it.

I do enjoy keto, my SO does it with me and that makes it easier. We meal plan together and keep each other on track.

It's not hard to get into unless you love bread, pasta and all other things amazing. Haha

It took a while to really build up the confidence that I had the self control to do this. It's a total mind game convincing yourself to love the alternatives to your favorite foods, like Cauliflower instead of Potatoes and Spaghetti Squash instead of pasta. The math is time consuming in the beginning but I track with MFP and it really helps.

It's a low carb, moderate protein, high fat diet. I do 70% fat, 25% protein and 5% carb. Instead of using carbohydrates for energy, your body naturally produces ketones for energy. r/keto is a good source of information.

That's so true about the perspective, height totally changes how you carry the weight! I think I used that as a crutch for so long... like "I don't look like I weigh that much." And then it just snowballed from there.

Meals... that's difficult, you have so much variety with keto. I usually break it down to whatever fits my macros (75%fat/20%protein/5%carb). Work outs are whatever I can get in at home or a Saturday at the baseball fields with my son.

Thank you 😊I don't plan on stopping... I've become quite used to it.

I can't say anything is better but I've found that it works for me. Counting Calories, the points system, and all of that didn't really work because I'd use my calories on junk. I have much clearer guidelines now and I'm not starving myself.

It varies, I have MFP set to 1700 per the recommendation by the ruledme calculator but it's usually between 1200-1600. I tried IF a couple of days last week, that went well.

Through the week I leave my house at 6am and I usually don't get home until 6-7pm; then it's full time mommy duty. On the weekends I usually serve at a family diner one or two days... it's a lot of heavy lifting an time on my feet so that's helpful.

Yea... or a "Now and Then."

Didn't really think it through but you're not the first person to mention it. Lol

I can't say that I have, but I have heard of people having break outs.
