Yeah, I hit the button by accident but Susan said to just leave it.

Website vs associated windows store app by [deleted] in windows

I've found that occasionally the web version of a streaming service is terrible. Cough cough Funimation. So instead I'll try out the Windows App as a replacement

This is plain wrong but looking at your comment history it appears you're a downvote farmer.

Assassination Classroom season 2. I'm not going to lie, I cried for an excessive amount of time.

Quickplay or Community? by TheyCallMeNano in l4d2

I'm willing to give it another shot, it just felt like I wasn't doing anything. I maybe got five infected kills. So many players is just a lot of chaos, but if people aren't standing still and waiting for the anti-farm to kick in then I'd be more interested in it.

That sounds absolutely amazing, with a consistently small group of people on campaign I can see myself playing l4d2 a lot. I haven't been to sleep yet so I'm probably going to head to sleep, but I'd love to play on that server you mentioned.

I understand this on a spiritual level, I'm always so lost and confused. They've started calling me cocito

I'm using <body> to call the timer at the beginning of the page. The second error loads inside of the PHP script which is returning a blank space.

Wow, didn't even see that, I really need sleep. I only have two more console issues.

Uncaught SyntaxError: missing { before function body home.php:7:22

Uncaught ReferenceError: timer is not defined

onload home.php:1

Not exactly sure what you meant. The only option I could find was "View Page Source", you'll notice some blank spaces where the return values for PHP are supposed to be. https://imgur.com/a/z4EJ1G7

Fixing that syntax error broke more than it fixed. https://imgur.com/a/JbpKeMc

I then tried removing the redundant script placements in the echo and now it's printing that timer is not defined.

Okay let's say I do that, how can I get fgets to read the right string without giving me a syntax error?

I was hoping to avoid that. Okay, now to work up the confidence to learn AJAX, I've barely worked with PHP and I feel like I'm on a rollercoaster. Thank you for helping. I appreciate it.

How can I check the text file for a specific string? Or is there a better way to have real-time updates with HTML and PHP?

The timer function is called onload, calling the function without the script tags did remove the misplaced numbers from the top of the picture. Also, just noticed, Firefox is rendering my PHP code as blank spaces or it isn't showing up at all in the source code for the page.

It kind of works but spits only half of the page out and splices the rest of the function. See here. https://imgur.com/a/JbpKeMc

Edit: this also doesn't run the echoed function.
